5 game losing streaks aren't fun. Players lose it, coaches and front office lose it and fans go berzerk. That's perfectly fine because the alternative is to be used to it and accept it.

Randle was always a stop-gap here. He has some talent but Dallas knew/knows all too well he has issues. They were going to milk the small investment in him for all it was worth and arguably did an amazing job there.... But he wasn't getting a long-term deal here.

As such, please for the love of baby Jesus, do not justify another murray cry with randle's release. It is so painfully illogical it literally hurts my brain to read such utter rubbish. Dmurray is gone because he wasn't one of the insanely rare backs that are worth big money. Fhilly is painfully aware of that even our fans who are apparently still watching games on VCR's are not. Dmurray is about as good as marion barber.... And who says jerry doesn't learn.

Chip may well pay for that Murray decision with his job. Not that leaving the cesspool and ending up in Austin, Texas or Southern California is going to be any real punishment.

Gotta love the complete goofballs that blast jerry for this season. Calling them trolls would be insulting trolls. Jerry didn't injure the QB and this team has shown as much risk aversion as any team in the league with it's lay down and play dead all pre-season policy. It plays backs who protect the QB first and foremost and it babies Romo every chance it can. Injuries happen but this team works hard to prevent them to it's stars.

This season is hardly over. The team needs to find a way to win games late without Romo. But since Romo is the leading 4th quarter guy in football the last decade perhaps it is reasonable that they do not yet.

The NFL is not about morality or justice, it is about wins and losses. The team need sot win this week. The how, the who, the why hardly matter at all. It badly needs a win in any way. A 2-0 win via safety would feel like a playoff win right now.

This team needs more players like Greg Hardy not less. Anyone who doesn't understand that is probably not able to make adult decisions.

Jerry didn't injure the QB, but he is at least partly responsible for picking the guys to replace him if he did get hurt. Unless you want to blame Garrett for that. If so, go ahead.

Easy to say that now, but this off-season he was not considered that at all. If he was, then I would hope we made a better attempt to get a real RB instead of saying that he was as good or better than anyone we could find. No, they actually thought that he was at least a starter-type with a committee base, as frightening and disappointing as that is.

It is still very valid to consider that it was probably a real possibility that Romo would get hurt. He's not an iron man and never has been. Depending on Brandon Weeden as the next man up is not risk aversion. It is inviting disaster while keeping your fingers crossed you never have to play him.

Might actually want to blame the people MOST responsible for those decisions... the player personnel people and offensive coaching staff.
McClay and Stephen Jones handle day to day personnel and Linehan and the QB coach handle back up QBs.

The thought Jerry handles the back up QB situation demonstrated exactly whyt he criticism is coming from the truly clueless.

Other than that good job, good effort I guess.

No offense man but you are simply posting sillyness.
Dallas has the 10th best rushing attack in football right now.
They are not at all hurting in that area.

What team is winning with a back up QB? Name that team for me please?
Weeden is about as good this season as .. oh,,, Kaepernick or Andrew LUCK.

Not exactly a newsflash but it is hard to find good QBs and there are NOT 32 of them much 64.
Judging a GM by the quality of his back up QB is about as stupid as it gets.

There is not a single team in football that wins a Super Bowl with a back up QB. ZERO, none.

Once upon a time, Cassel was the back up for a SB team in NE. How on earth could they be so stupid!!!???

What is your definition of iron man?

Mine is, say, I don't know, playing with a punctured lung.

Kudos JT.

All of that is correct. It is simply 100% common sense that needs to take hold in this fan base.

It is gut wrenching because Dallas could have easily won the New Orleans, NYG, and Seattle games, even without Tony and Dez.. They were thisclose but it wasn't to be.

Add Romo and Bryant to those games and I think Dallas wins every game except New England and all of the media and fans are talking super bowl instead of mass panic.

More excuses gotta love it. It's one thing to not re-sign Murray and it's another to not draft a back in the 3rd round and instead drafting a project RT. There were guys out there on the market that could've helped this running game. Guys like Chris Johnson and there were vet recievers we could've signed like James Jones. We could've brought Harris back who is a far superior all around player than Beasley. I understand there aren't a bunch of great backups. I'm not asking for a great one, but to go into the season with probably the worst quarterback in the league IR inexcusable. Literally any backup out there would've been an improvement. You had Mike Vick who at least won one game this season, Ryan Fitzpatrick, both of which would've been huge improvements. Refusing to upgrade Hayden who is a constant liability.

Well every team in the league has their starting QB playing right now except for us, but the Steelers found a way to win three games with backups while Big Ben was out.

If you're going all out to protect your QB with the oline and RBs that are capable blockers, you probably should complete the circle and get a quality backup. Tyrod Taylor or Ryan Fitzpatrick could have been had in the offseason, this is where the front office deserves blame.

I don't get guys like you. It wasn't magic pixie dust that caused us to lose those games. It was ineptitude at the QB position, following by bad special teams play, followed by bad tackling. There are root causes here.

Wow. I don't even know where to start. The handling of Joseph Randle was an "amazing job" by the front office? By what standard? I'm fine with letting Murray walk, with a capable replacement. The guy couldn't be trusted as a starter here. They should have moved on from him a long time ago and find out what some of these other guys have. I look at it as wasted resources, not as an amazing job by the FO.

Sure, Jerry didn't injure Romo, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the team to eek out a win with the backup QB. We have had 2 games where we didn't score a TD. That simple doesn't cut it. The kneejerk trade for Cassel and start him 2 weeks later hasn't shown to be all that wise either.

You don't win in the NFL if you don't score touchdowns.

Not sure what you mean by "guys like me, because I agree with you on the causes of the losses this season. It is a bit like saying water is wet though. I'm not sure if anyone would say those games were lost because of anything other than bad QB play, turnovers, and a special teams gaff.

What I meant when I wrote that it was gut wrenching in my initial post, is that even without Dez/Tony the team was still in position to win. What that means to me and why I wrote what I did, is that with Tony in the lineup, they likely win all but one of the games they lost. At the most , two of them.
