I think anyone smart enough to ACTUALLY look at the evidence knew it would be reduced. Now he will still get something for the incident in March but the DV stuff will go away. If I was Zeke I would make the Commissioner come on tv and apologize for calling him a woman beater.

The only way Zeke should accept a reduction is if the NFL withdraws the DV claim and makes it a general penalty that covers any incidents to date,,, and even then I don't know if he should. The bar thing is unproven and the blouse thing is borderline at best.

If they reduce the ONLY way Zeke should accept is a full rewrite of the suspension notes.

Remove the DV bs, and also remove the "next event of any type could be permanent suspension" wording. Otherwise we'll see you in court, and I expect a "loss" there but a rewrite of some of the wording. The court case will be about more than if the CBA was violated, imo.

If it's 2, I imagine they will drop the DV label and just simply call it conduct detrimental with the shirt thing that happened back in March. If it's 4, then it's still the DV label IMO and he should take it to court. If the shirt thing is not factored in at all in their decision, it should be 0.

If I'm Zeke, I still take it to court unless they totally vacate the suspension, which we all know isn't happening.

Absolutely agree. If he accepts the reduction, then he is admitting guilt in the eyes of public opinion, which could hurt him moving forward.

The reason I posted this is because we all know the Schefter has become the mouthpiece for the NFL. They like to use him to float things out there shortly before they happen

absolutely true..thanks for posting it. BTW, I can't stand "Schefty"...he's a pin worm.

the "outrage" over the St Patrick's Day thing reminds me of Joe Buck's "outrage" when Randy Moss "mooned" the crowd in Green Bay.

The woman, a friend of his, pulled down her shirt right after that. She continued to hang out w/ Zeke & friends after that.

As far as "conduct" goes, it was as stupid/foolish as Gronk's drunken cruises & him motorboating women

If you can see Venus to the east, it should be a 3 game suspension. If Mars bisects the conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter, then it should be 0. If Rodney Dangerfield comes back to life as a horsefly, it gets reduced to 2. My logic is just as sound as the NFL's in this case.

Probably go from 6 to 2-4. I believe Zeke will only accept it being reduced to 0. He's fighting for his reputation and this has been handled poorly by NFL, imo. Fight like hell: 0 or see you in court.

I agree. If he received 6 games for Personal Conduct, and they cited "multiple troubling allegations involving your character" I think if it was reduced to 2 games he'd just eat his hat.

The NFL's attempt to basically come out and call him an abuser is the kicker. I would personally fight that until I could fight no more.

I would have been ok with Zeke being suspended a game or two for Blouse-gate. He may have committed DV, and should be suspended if he did, but you have to be able to prove it.

Hey, also, for science, can you PM me some links to the above mentioned video? I want to see it again to, uh, study what not to do in life...

IIRC they said that March incident wasn't factored in so how could it now be factored in? Either it's 0 or it's a problem

The 6 game suspension had NOTHING to do with the incident where he pulled down a friend's top. The NFL said as much. I see no way they can come back after the fact and now include that incident in order to justify a suspension. It would make them look vindictive and stupid.

Not only did they label him a woman beater, but they threatened his career.
The untalked about part of this situation is that the NFL told Zeke that he could be given a lifetime ban for an occurrence that would not typically lead to such a punishment.
And they left it undefined and vague in order to keep the threat hanging over his head...

I think that would be the standard language they use anytime they handed down this punishment because, according to the policy, they are one step away from banishment.
