I would LOVE to have Rolle! He's the deep cover Safety we've been missing for years.

Also he's from the U, and I can't remember the exact stat, but its something like in the last 20 years, no team has won the Superbowl who didn't have at least 1 Hurricane on their roster... We currently have 0 Canes on the team...

Rolle - 184 TKL, 10 INT, 23 PD

Hamlin - 138 TKL, 6 INT, 19 PD

Not to mention Rolle has Superbowl experience and was drafted as the first corner taken a few years ago. Obviously converted to safety with success and can obviously cover and make plays back there. Entering the prime of his career right now.

Question is how much will he cost VS Hamlin? I see only marginal improvement. And one thing from all accounts that Hamlin did very well was be the QB of the secondary. Does Rolle do that well?

Who cares what he costs? None of us aren't footing the bill and the cap isn't an issue.....

Rolles a bit overrated but he is a upgrade over Hamlin.

Like I said in a prior thread about Rolle, I dont often get too excited about FA's. In the long run I dont feel it's the way to build a team but when you have a player of Rolles age, ability and skill set and combine it with the Cowboys need and loooong time weakness I cant help but feel Dallas just cant miss on this one.

I still think we should look to the draft. For a Hamlin type deal, which is what he'll probably be looking at, his stats aren't that impressive IMO.
