Yep, even the other team was out there. I got a lot of respect for Garrett in that situation. I've seen bad injuries in my time but I've never seen 2 whole teams look so distraught. It just sucks all the way around.
We all talked so bad about Garrett...me included and I'm glad he's not here but man...that moment seeing Garrett and Dak.....just put things in perspective.....its that rare moment in sports where everything is just bigger than sports or your hate or love for your team.

I think he will recover somewhat quickly and be ready for next season possibly. Problem is Dalton could play very well and basically be the Nick Foles to Carson Wentz type deal.
Lol yeah. Dalton and his 4 playoff losses and 6 ints is going to the Super Bowl now. I hope everyone is ready because I am going to pick apart every throw dalton makes. Just like you people did to Dak. Every game. Every throw. Everything

I just gotta wonder when he comes back how affected he will be. Dez never made a full comeback with his foot injury

My only concern is that this injury happened on his plant leg. The leg he gets power to throw off of. If it was the front leg, I would feel better.

I think he's do something like 2 years for 60-65 million

Team friendly for the cowboys and it puts him on track to re-sign in 2023 when the cap is suppose to skyrocket. He'd still make 2020-2022 almost 100 million + would be able to resign during peak money/cap

I hear ya but that’s not a Jerry Jones deal.

He’ll go minimum 5 years 2 hundo

$40 mil / 5 years

Or cosmetically looking $38.9M per year

Actually, unless I'm mistaken, the left leg in a right handed QB is the more important one when it comes to being able to plant and throw.

not sure yet, but Allen Hurns had a similar injury back in the wildcard game against Seattle in 2018, and he bounced back pretty well. And he’s a WR!!

Tough dude. He actually hobbled over on one leg to the cart. Bone sticking out and all. Sucks.....

Might be a bad time to mention a new contract, but I believe this serious injury guarantees Dak stays in Big D. Jerry knows how good Dak is, and now this injury will force Dak to settle for less per year (low 30 million per year). A longterm contract would benefit Dak this time due to this injury.
And Jerry will open his heart and be more generous

Google says it’s an 8 month recovery...without complications.

He should be playing football at the end of June 2021.

isnt this what happened to Jaylon smith hes doesnt look right Alex smith had ton of issues but i believe they were from infections that caused complications etc.. its hard to tell but it might slow daks mobility which could hurt his game..

I feel very confident that Dak will recover 100% from the injury.

He’s done for the season though.

but he will be ready to participate by OTA’s.

He had surgery already?
The Cowboys team doctor Daniel Cooper and Dr. Curry, who is the ankle specialist, are part of a group of doctors that have their own surgical clinic. I'm sure Cooper made a couple of phone calls and it was set up.

I don't think I've ever seen the entire team come over to the cart like that. Before the cart pulled out, one of the last guys talking to him was Justin March, a backup on defense who certainly isn't in any of the position meetings with Dak. That and Garrett coming over really tells you all you need to know about Dak's leadership on this team.
The well wishes from just about every high profile player last night shows the amount of respect people have for Dak.
Remember Bayless said coming out about mental health would hurt him..... seems like the opposite. These guys are human and they all seem to respect a guy who carries himself the way Dak does.
Watching him crying while being carted off the field was tough.

Two keys to successful surgery are great surgeon and great state of mind. Dak has both. He'll fully recover.

And to add to that...youth. This young man will bounce back stronger and will be taking the first snap of the 2021 season...book it! God speed #4.
