Adam Schefter of ESPN suggested that Miles Austin could land in Miami if Dallas does not re-sign him.

Our View: Bill Parcells inked Austin to the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, and he would provide a nice wingman for rising star Ted Ginn Jr. if acquired by the Dolphins.

He was restricted last offseason, we tendered him a 2nd rounder. He will be a UFA this coming offseason.

WOW, not only is Jerry going to let Austin walk but he is going to play second fiddle to Ginn.

What a brilliant piece of twittering by Shefter.

I've followed the Cowboys long enough to know that Jones does not let good FA's go.. ESPECIALLY ones that Dallas made them who they are. Ratliff, Witten, Austin, Romo, Crayton, etc. Only someone silly would worry about Austin leaving.

It was actually Mortensen who said that.

He and Schefter were doing some sort of rapid-fire notes on movement among wide receivers next off-season.

All of them were reaches, except for their prediction that Boldin will finally be traded.

lol!

Miami could have had him for a 2nd round pick but didn't make him an offer.
No one will get another chance at him for a 2nd.

I was correct in that no one was going to give up a 2nd for him last year but I was thankfully wrong that it would have been dumb to do so. Austin's meteoric rise makes him a top 10 WR in desirability right now. He's young enough to continue to develop and his speed makes him a dangerous weapon.

Nobody is adressing the issue though. How in the hell can we have 2 wr's making 50 mil plus and a tight end making top dollar? What the hell

This is incorrect. Yes, he was restricted last year and Yes, he is restricted again.

Since when does dropping everything thrown your way make you a rising star? Ginn is an over paid over drafted kick returner. Nothing more.

Would have been a UFA. With no cap this offseason, cause there is no new agreement, it will cost him being a UFA. Now you'll have to have 6 years in the NFL to get the UFA and Miles won't have that.

Either way Miles isn't going anywhere. He'll be resigned.
