Schefter of ESPN suggested that Miles Austin could land in Miami

lol.

WHy dont we just send romo with him while we are at it.

and lol at some of the people laughing at it, most of the people on this board would have moved him for a ham sandwich citing his "injury" problems even when pointed out he didnt have one.

that seems wrong, miles just now showed he has it, has been a project for years, roy was a number one pick, been to a pro-bowl and prior to joining the cowboys was considered one of the better WR in the league.

Miles doesn't start anywhere near roy money.

and if he does, screw the kid

Roy and Miles should swap salaries. Roy has certainly played well below his worth and Miles waaayy above his.

Nobody is adressing the issue though. How in the hell can we have 2 wr's making 50 mil plus and a tight end making top dollar? What the hell

Get to finding that second job, guru. Or will it be your first?

this season that's for sure.

Miles needs to prove himself, this is the first year he has shown consistant hands. Going into last season most of the coaches and Jerry all considered Hurd the better player.

He has had a good year, but he isn't a proven commodity with me yet.

Roy was a safer gamble, one that hopefully pays off in the playoffs...

and I still think there is a chemistry issue with roy and tony

Witten's contract is cheap.. dirt cheap.

If Jerry allows Miles Austin to bolt in FA, Jerry will find his QB in revolt.

not trying to be a jerk, but austin showed off his hands last year. He didnt get any opportunities to get the ball because of buffalo bill.

Even this year, they tried to make williams the guy. It wasnt working. Williams gets hurt and Austin finally gets a real chance and now he will be here for a long time. He has all the tools, he is a team first guy, he says all the right things and he has a great relationship with romo.

There is no debate about this.

the people who bagged on him all offseason have been proven completely wrong and the guy is a legitimate top flight player.

people for some reason slobber all over shefter and kiper and those other hacks- despite how stupid those hacks are.

I am sorry but showing flashes of hands isn't the same things as showing he has hands.

He showed he could catch sometimes, but he still dropped a buinch of balls when you consider how few chances he got.

He has had one proven year, and some growing pains and rough patches before.

I am not going to get too high on the kid because of this season.

next season proves what he is with me.

I could have guessed your response.

yes, you certainly know me backwards and forwards kreskin.

no its not that, its just that I can tell from the way you are talking about austin that for some reason you are just not going to give him credit.

so I said I could have just guessed what you said.

and again, his hands were good in 08, your confusing that with 07. IN 08 from day 1 in training camp he showed he improved.

If it doesn't come out of Jay Glazer's mouth it probably won't happen.

WOW, not only is Jerry going to let Austin walk but he is going to play second fiddle to Ginn.

What a brilliant piece of twittering by Shefter.
He wouldn't be playing "second fiddle" to Ginn. Ginn is hardly even started nowadays. I find it extremely hard to believe that Jerry would let him walk; I can't remember the last homegrown star he let walk.

improved isn't good hands, he has shown good hands this season.

he has shown progress, this season is a very good sign and presents a ton of hope.

Sometimes guys just ball out of their minds and I am not ready to say this year is indicative of austin while dismissing the previous years.

He dropped a bunch of balls before, trying to run before the catch, he would always do his big disgusted smile and slap his hands after, mad at himself.

I watch him too, and I like him a lot, but not sold yet.

Were gonna keep Austin. Its the irrelavent players that are gonna have to go so we can keep him.... Spears, barbie, flo...etc.

let me put it this way, is mile austin the same player with a different QB?

I don't know if I'd call Spears "irrelevant". He's played quite well this year vs. the run.

who knows and kinda a silly way to look at it overall.

would irvin have been irvin w/o aikman? i mean, let's just lob in say detmer or some other scrub. what if we had the qb carasoul for irvins first 6 years or so like other teams have - qb or wr?

people focus on the individual too much in a team sport. it's how they play off each other and work together that brings mutual success.
