Schefter on Twitter says Folk lost his job

Theres actually a good kicker in the CFL named Sandro DeAngelis who has been probably the leagues best kicker for a couple years now. Over 5 years he's 83.8 % and is coming off a 42-49 made missed season. The last good kicker to come of that league was Lawrence Tynes for the Giants. But yeah i'm not sure what else is out there, this guy could be worth a try.
Sign him up.

I blame Wade.

There is no way a HC worth a dang could watch him spray the ball all over the field in warm ups (looks like me on the driving range) and think he could rely on him in the game.

That pre-game footage was one of the most unbelievable things I've seen on TV in a long time.

It may not be absolute fact at this point, but it will be soon. There's no way they can bring him back for another game after missing that chip shot to win the game.

Clearly has a case of the yips. Problem is, the market's picked clean. Oh well, we survived his ineptitude.

You need to visit the crow thread and get yours, sir.

Big All you can eat Buffet goin on in there. You are late, sir. :starspin

yep, folk lost his job.

there is a long time understanding that when a kicker loses his confidence, it is pretty much lights out. The world would have to change directions for them to regain it with the same team.

Folk is done IMO and you can take that to the bank.

i have to agree with you. I saw them and was like, is this some kind of joke because clearly no kicker could be that off so many times in what look like chip shot practice kicks.

It was embarrassing to see that.

It's a long walk back to dallas. I hope he brought a coat.

funny you say that because I told my son that he should just start walking home now after that miss. lol

Not real tough for him to "let us all know" Folk is cut. I knew that as soon as he bounced a 24 yard field goal attempt off the upright in a must have game.

Why? For thinking we'd lose to an undefeated team at home? How dare I! Did you think we'd go 16-0? I said we could win and it would be a wonderful surprise if we did, and it is. I've been wrong about the Boys three weeks in a row, but I couldn't be happier about the last one.

I don;t know maybe he was trying to avoid the huge jumbo tron tv screen

Sorry dude, but this one's on Wade AND Jerry. Jerry could have stopped the bleeding weeks ago.

I didn't know yips was a real medical condition so i wikied it

Yips is an apparently baseless sudden loss of ability in one of a number of different sports.

Professional or leading amateur sportsmen affected by the Yips sometimes recover their ability, sometimes compensate by changing technique, or may be forced to abandon their sport at the highest level.

Oh God no. Bad joke guys, sorry! :laugh1:

Not that bad of an idea. He's probably still pretty good inside of 40. Can't be any worse.

I was thinking the same thing. Obviously Folk needs to be replaced. I doubt if Schefter has any inside information.
Saying folk lost his job certainly isn't going out on any limb. I'm not confident in extra points any more; that's scary.

No kidding....I couldn't believe that he was missing those close kicks from that close prior to the game....you CANNOT have that when you are trying to make the playoffs....you just can't. There is no way that Folk can hold ill feeling towards the team should we let him go....it was all on him and the team kept making excuses for him.....

I feel bad for Folk.. He was clutch with us in his rookie year.. But he really fell off.. Maybe that hip injury screwed him.

That was disturbing, even if they weren't gimmes. But the one he missed was unforgivable.
