Schefter: Teams looking to move down not up in 2022 Draft

My exact comment a couple weeks ago when Jerry proclaimed he would be open to trading UP.

No one can read the room quite like him.

This tells me there will be very little to no trading in the first round. No one to do business with.

No trade up unless it is for Tyron's replacement and they fall out of top 15. Otherwise I prefer a small trade down to get one more pick but we know like the Frederick trade that they get crap trade value in these trade downs.

If Thibodeaux gets anywhere close to 10 I would look into what the move up would cost.
I think Jerrah moves up if the cost is somewhat cheaper to move up this year if they have specific targets and range they are considering.

The Jones Boys will find a way to pay $2 for .50 cents.

That is scary. They usually lose value in what they do. But a 4-1 ratio is not out of the question.
I cringe at times on day 3 when Jerry tries to be cute and out smart everyone. And it never works.
Heck I cringe at the 2nd pick. We know what happens there.

We also seem much happier with our picks at the end of the day when we trade down rather than we trade up for 'our guy'.
