Schottenheimer praising how Guyton has looked in OTAs

Guyton improving and holding down the left tackle position would be huge for the team this season.

I hope he’s gotten stronger this year.
All reports say he's added a lot of muscle so we shall soon see. He's got a good tem of coaches to help

Someone posted a picture of him from OTA’s next to Tyler Smith. Guyton looked noticeably bigger.

lol @ anyone downplaying blind side tackle. That's left tackle for Dallas.

No team needs a Hall of Famer or perennial all-pro at the position but every team needs a reliable, competent one in every passing situation. That description did not fit Tyler Guyton last season.

Arguably, quarterback and left tackle are interchangeably the top two most important positions in football. It is a Guyton thread, so let's not belittle his importance in this offense.

And to be fair this FO has MANY MANY things they dont do well..LT seems to be a thing they do well. If Guyton stays healthy i like his chances of being pretty good.

I want to see him get praised in games. Hopefully some of the negative commentary he received last season lights a fire under him.

There is still a ton of upside with Guyton. Not easy making the switch as a rookie and Tyler Smith also had major struggles with penalties as a rookie, he has since gotten much better. Guyton's development is all putting in the work to refine his technique, if he does that, he has all the physical traits to become a good starter for this team.

I hope he can take a significant leap, but when is the last time we've heard a coach say a player has looked bad at OTAs? Even last year he was severely overhyped between OTAs, camp, and preseason work only to end up one of the worst Tackles in the league come time for the real games.
I think you would hear more, "he's putting in the work to make a 2nd year leap and has made progress" rather than flat our squashing the guy or giving them a glowing review. We don't know much about Schott, but hopefully he's being sincere on Guyton's progress because that would be promising. I would still wait to training camp and preseason before assessing his actual progress.
