Schotty is sinking fast. When to pull the plug

I watched the all-22 for three hours. Schottenheimer absolutely mailed it in Thursday night. Far too many vertical routes with nothing underneath for Prescott to throw. The same bloody nonsense we saw with Kellen Moore and Jason Garrett. Just run to the sticks...turnaround and beat your man on a jump ball.

He ran only five times behind Guyton and Smith. Too much shotgun-no back telegraphing to the defense that pass was on the way. I like Schottenheimer much less now than I did before this all-22 breakdown. He is going to go down as yet another HC and/or OC that abuses and misuses the high level of talent at his disposal.

The Dallas Cowboys were a feast or famine offense Thursday night and it was entirely self-inflicted. ENTIRELY! And it has nothing at all to do with the dmn talent level. It's the play-caller and his game-planning.

The three back-breaking plays came down to two players. Winters fell, leaving his gap exposed on the big Bucky run. Bland...bailed like an imbecile on a third and 21 play, THEN fell on that same play. On the long pass play? Bland again...jumping inside when he should've maintained outside leverage and again fell. Then...Bland yet AGAIN failing to catch an INT that was right in his hands. TWO tipped balls for INTs...one over the middle on a stupid route concept (Schottenheimer). The other because Ferguson simply can't stop doing dumb things...whether it's fumbling, tipping balls into the air, or not chipping properly.

Schottenheimer is a bigger concern after watching this all-22 than Parker. Parker has excuses with injuries. Schottenheimer does not. He is misusing offensive talent...much like those before him who have done it since Wade Phillips.

If Kyle Shanahan ran this offense it would be lethal.
And if you won the lottery you'd be rich. Kyle Shanahan would never coach the Cowboys.

There's no heir-apparent Clapper in the ranks, so I would call it a day on this. We all know Jerry lets his Coaches ride the entire year. I can't fault him either, it's rare to have a backup Coach ready to do it. Last time we had that opportunity was maybe with DQ and Zimm?

That's the problem with whole "culture" approach. Its awesome when you are winning, but when you are losing people will question exactly what has changed.

You better have receipts at that point.

I dont believe Schottenheimer has any receipts. He just talks a lot with minimal actual impact.
Totally agree! I think Schottenheimers time has come to an end. He keeps repeating the same exact message after every loss. The fact no changes happen after losses has to be wearing thin in that locker.

Dang, why can't we find some other old coach's son to be the head coach? Dang, we already tried that. Are there any little George Allens running around? Bud Grant Jrs?Rod Marinelli's running around? :D

Firing Shotty would not matter ....... Jerry will just hire the next Puppet.
Exactly, say we do fire Schotty, who takes over as interim? They are not hiring someone from the outside to come take this over and finish off the season. Who is it going to be? Parker? Adams? Heck maybe Jerry will give it the old college try.

He has 2 years left on his contract. I don't see Jerry firing him after this season unless we only win 5-7 games with a healthy Dak.

This Nepo Baby is sinking fast. He is 2-3. Chances are he will be 2-5 in 17 days.

Yoda needs to yank him soon and name him to quality control.

Coming at us
@Green Bay and @Philadelphia are coming at us in no time, lads. These are bold, tough teams with healthy starter QBs.
Could he, should Junior Schottenheimer survive 2-5? He is teetering at 2-3.

When to cut Junior Schottenheimer

Can him now, I say, or when he is on fire?
Yoda, how will Junior look to you in 17 days?
To be humane, now is the time.
Parker? Phhht. There are many who could outcoach this dolt passed off as a genius.

His replacement?
Great question.
I have no idea. And probably 90% here have no idea, either.
That, my friends, might be at the crux of why Junior is still our HC.

Not happening until his contract is up, same goes for Dak they will both be here a few more years

Indeed.
Coach Reported annual salary:

Andy Reid. $20 million

Sean McVay. $15 million

Nick Sirianni. $15 million

Mike Macdonald. $9 million

Ben Johnson. $13 million

Brian Schott... $4.5 million
Jerry doesn't need to pay big $$$$ for a HC because Jerry calls the shots the HC just implements Jerry's orders. There is no self-respecting coach going to work for Jerry, the HC canidates are either start-ups or has-beens looking for a check.

Seeing the future I see CP getting fired, he gets rehired by the Eagles and goes on to be successful there.
Schotty will continue to coach us to the basement and work on his B-Ball.

Hey, wait ! ! !

Learning the new schemes . . . It's a Process ! ! !

Give them 5 more games to lock in ! ! !

I would fire this idiot tomorrow, but that is not how Jerry rolls.

It is going to take something catastrophic for Schotty to get fired in-season, the wheels would have to totally come off and the club is sitting at 3-10, ala Wade Phillups.
And probably some 55-10 blowouts too.
