If the fanbase would unite and stop lining Jerry’s pockets he would care.

Stop buying merch, going to games, watching games, listening to radio stations talking about the games, and ignoring them all together.

That’s what would hurt him the most.

I don’t think there’s anyway Schottenheimer would agree to a 1 year deal. And I also think Jerry is way too cheap to fire a coach after 1 season and pay 2 HC’s for multiple years.

Schottenheimer would be a minimum 2 year coach

I did not say he would agree to a one year deal. I said Jerry would likely offer a 2 to 3 year deal so he could fire him after one season if he wanted.

Schottenheimer knows he is not getting another head coaching offer any time soon so he would jump at the chance to be head coach and likely be willing to sign a 2 to 3 year contract even knowing what it gives Jerry.

McCarthy was their initial choice. But he refused to coach for peanuts. Who knows, he probably was expected to add Witten too and refused. He left them at the altar, now Dumb & Dumber are just freestyling.

Agree...there is a scenario where this goes on another 10 years.....unacceptable.

Schotty is a 2-3 year downpayment on a 10-15 year project with Witten. This is what we're staring at. Jason Garrett Pet Project 2.0.
