Yeah I think after Garrett/Wade he will wait til the HC is hired. But its laughable to think Schotty will be making most of those decisions. Its one of the main reasons he is now the front-runner,l.

Jimmy Johnson has elevated himself to a place amongst older Cowboys fans where he can do no wrong. He is always right and if he says something that turns out to be wrong he never actually said it.

Exactly. Fans forgot how bad he was in Miami after he left Dallas. He had some measure of success but made alot of mistakes. Simply put, he has a short shelf life there too. Winning in the NFL isn't for the faint of heart and it's hard. Ask Dan Campbell. Ask John Harbaugh. I think Jimmy is wrong about Shotty.

I dont think Ben Johnson is a great OC, and there is no way to know how good he will be as HC.
And if he is still play caller, probably not very good.

At detroit he had a loaded roster on offense, any OC would look good there.

Same for Saleh, he was a bust at HC, after looking good at SF where he had a all star def roster.

They really got us with the Deion thing.

Not that he would be a saviour, but it appeared for a brief moment of time that the Joneses would be trying something different and hiring a coach that would challenge the status quo.

Only to immediately back out of it and go with a guy with the lowest salary expectations
