Detroit Lions were an awesome pass design scheme off play action, ..but they never waved and drift away from running the ball.
..and did so with a constant dual attack , not just beat up and pound grind one solo back.

Every coordinator wants to run the ball to set up play action, the problem comes when you can't actually run ball because your o-line and/or running backs are terrible.

Looks like your right they were ok his 1st year as oc. Dropped his 2nd year. Dropped further his 3rd year and then no one wanted him as an OC since. Lasted 1 years as a passing coordinator before Jacksonville got rid of him then he went to Dallas as an analyst. I got high hopes.
