This guy ready to take honest offer? 3 for 20? Does he even have market? Low ball him
Don't even sign him. He is a safety valve type player.
Sign Foster Moreau, he will be cheaper and has elite skills. Look at his combine numbers, he was a great fill in for when Waller was out.

Moreau is a potential celing raiser, but of course Dallas is asleep at the wheel.

Schultz is excellent as a receiver, but not much as a blocker. Nevertheless, some team will pay him generously to collect passes, you betcha!
He catches pass when He’s open. If the pass is ever Semi-contested, there’s a good chance he doesn’t come down with it

Very strange he hasn’t been signed. We almost look foolish paying him 13 million last season. Time will tell

The longer we hear no news on him, the better the shot is for us to retain him

Tight ends will be drafted early in often in this draft. Dak made Shultz. He should just sign a 1 year deal with the Chargers and see what Herbert will do for him.

The draftee's at Te are killing his market. I sense he will return 2 Dallas. Why should a team pay him a kings ransom when they can get a guy on the cheap?

Giseki just got 1 year 9 million. He and Schultz are similar players and age.
Which is around what I thought his value was.

How in the world did Spottrac come up w/ this 15 mil/season amount? It never made any kind of sense.

I think teams are okay finding TEs in the 3rd and 4th round of the draft. Anyone not named Travis Kelce or George Kittle is not going to get market setting offers. I wouldn't break the bank for Schultz either. He is a good, not great TE. I think Ferguson will outperform Schultz on the Cowboys.

Ive seen super high estimates on him. Like 15m a year. I wonder if he is available because those highest paid TE offers arent materializing
Mike Gesicki hasn’t seen an offer either, despite being tagged last year. The TE market is not major this year. Hurst is the only one you got a multi-year deal from the Panthers apparently and Tonyan got a 1 year deal as a backup in Chicago.

There is no reason for any team at this moment to shell out big bucks for a TE.

Chargers are apparently the most possible destination, as they have maneuvered and freed up some major cap space after restricting Mack, Bosa, Allen and Williams and probably more room if Ekeler is moved. Prior to this, it wasn’t even considered a possibility considering their cap space and how much money Schultz was targeting.

Per Slater, Dallas isn’t even considering bringing him back though.

Since we had no proven TE on the roster, don't see how.

Franchising him while we got our other TE's up to speed was the smart thing to do.
I didn't agree with it, but that was a reasonable argument for franchising Schultz last year.

That decision was the indirect cause of costing Schultz money and thereby us comp pick value.

The direct cause was his relatively poor play. He was significantly worse in 2022 than 2021. Across the board.

Appreciate the info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This one will be interesting then, to see if they got this one right.
I don't think anyone is giving him a 15M a year contract if I had to guess. But these guys can sometimes get caught up in their own estimated market value.

It’s similar to gesicke and he just went for 4.5 can be 9 million with incentives. Schultz over bet on himself.

Screw Shultz just a big fat jag who padded meaningless stats in meaningless games with his boy wonder qb. also couldnt even get his foot down easily on 2nd to last play of game causing an even more embarrising last play of the season getting zeke steam rolled. I wouldn't resign him for 2 million next year, he is scum
