I am all for Moore he is better than people give him credit for. Yes he is not the ideal physical size, or cannon arm, it is the mental part of the game that he is leaps and bounds over other guys

Then there is no reason to spend time developing him. I don't think he's actually a viable back up given his lack of arm strength. I do think that the team believes that he could eventually be a useful position coach, or more.
Here's the back up QB from 2016. How many are valid starter candidates?
.
13. Mark Sanchez, Cowboys
14. Chase Daniel, Eagles
15. Nick Foles, Chiefs
16. Ryan Mallett, Ravens
17. Sean Mannion, Rams
18. Chad Henne, Jaguars
19. Landry Jones, Steelers
20. Kellen Clemens, Chargers
21. Matt Cassel, Titans
22. Paxton Lynch, Broncos
23. Matt Moore, Dolphins
24. Matt Schaub, Falcons
25. Scott Tolzien, Colts
26. Dan Orlovsky, Lions
27. Tom Savage, Texans
28. Brett Hundley, Packers
1. Drew Stanton, Cardinals......

2. AJ McCarron, Bengals
3. Josh McCown, Browns
4. Geno Smith, Jets
5. Colt McCoy, Commanders
6. Colin Kaepernick, 49ers
7. Brian Hoyer, Bears
8. Luke McCown, Saints
9. Derek Anderson, Panthers
10. Mike Glennon, Bucs
11. Shaun Hill, Vikings
12. EJ Manuel, Bills

Paste screw up but you get the point

I'm in the minority on this
Dont like him. We saw what he had with his 3 games in 2015 and putting this as nicely as I can.....he sucked. Appeared lost with no control of the team-just didnt play like a leader. It was hard to differentiate between him and Cassell. Hoping one of the camp bodies can somehow beat him out
Moore is a third stringer.

If Moore has to start an extended amount of games, our season will be over. Teams will load up the box and the rest will be history.

That would be the last thing a team would want to do...Might be the best part of KM's game...knowing where to go w/ the football before the snap...And he gets it there.

I guess maybe he knows the playbook more than the undrafted rookie qb's we have in camp.

I'm all for giving Moore the start in the first two games, to get more experience and work out some kinks. Maybe he wins one, or maybe not. But it's ok, then just turn it over to Dak, and let him go undefeated the rest of the way.

We need to handicap Dak in the NFC East, or he will totally embarrass the rest of the QBs in the division, like he did last season as a rook. Plus, we want him hungry come playoff time.

Linehan's loyality to Moore is just a sad stubborn reluctance to admit the backup QB position is a point of contention on this team. It's going to end up costing us a winnable game and who knows, with only 16 games in a season, that could be the difference in making the playoffs. It's just a sad train wreck coming from way down the tracks that doesn't have to happen.

Just got to hope if Dak goes down for a game or two Moore starts versus a bad defensive team.

Long term injury to Dak, we are in the same boat as 95% of other NFL franchises. ****ed.

Moore is good at holding a clipboard.

Let's hope he keeps doing that til we draft his replacement in next years draft.

At a certain point you might wanna give this up. I'm Arkansas alumni, Darren is cool as a backup for now, but Skipper will be lucky to get on the practice squad. Thornton is from Arkansas, but he needs to play better or leave. I barely remember Irwin-Hill.

Just deal with the fact that we have had bad luck with Boise State. Moore, TCraw, DLaw.....really? Noone would care as of right now if all of them walked after this season. Yes OScan has done well for us, but that was a decade ago when he was drafted.

I do believe Moore should stay this year, he's better than the Motley Crue we had in 2014....but saying a guy that went 13-3 in his rookie season should have an open competition with Moore is a bit much.
