Nope, not stupid at all (lol).......matter of opinion. Just matter of opinion and right now that's Linehan. We can throw monkeys and dogs at each other but as now Linehan appears to favor Moore, whether we like it not and to be honest I tend to agree. For me, it comes down to experience. You just can't replace that with a rookie free agent whose only seen few preseason snaps against reserves, especially when defensive coordinators start mixing schemes and coverages. Believe it or not, I actually like Cooper Rush and see the confidence and poise that have fans excited. Hope we can find a way to keep him but not as Dak's primary back for this season. Other words, I don't care if we keep Moore, as long Dak's backup is season vet ...........not a rookie free agent.
Actually, if we look back at how they were going to handle the QB situation last year, I would say there's little or no chance Rush being a primary backup. Dak was a 4th round pick and it took two injuries and trade rejection to elevate him as a starter. Other words, starter by default. Before that, he locked in 3rd on the depth chart after Moore was named Romo's backup early in camp. But now we are to believe this same coaching staff is going trust a rookie free agent as primary backup? I don't see it .......but I could be wrong.
BTW...here's the article of Linehan comments on Moore regarding the Skins game

What screams "vet" to you about Moore and his zero NFL wins? Just because he has been around a bit does not mean he is a vet with experience. He is nothing more than camp fodder.
