Just so you'll know ..........there's an article out there quoting Linehan saying if he ever had any doubt about Moore's talent as backup QB, the last 2015 game of the season against the Commanders ( where he passed for over 400 yards ) showed him everything he needed to know. Another thing to remember, if Moore is playing for an injured Dak Prescott, we probably toss out only 25-30% of the playbook due to his physical limitations, where as with Rush we probably lose 60-70% coz of inexperience.
Kellen moore is not going to win you a lot more games than cooper rush if dak goes down its pretty much 2015 all over again

Why are you guys so worried about cutting Rush in favor of Moore? All Rush needs to do at this point is continue to play well, and his spot is sewn up.

As for the three QB spots on the roster, that's common in the league and not something to really worry about, either. However things end up, our 53rd guy is going to be a guy we could easily replace from elsewhere at some point, anyway. You can bet we'll have transactions throughout the year. And we'll maybe bring in a player or two after cuts are made, too. That's pretty much par for the course.

If Moore doesn't break is leg last year, you think they let Dak start over Moore?
No they would have started Kellen and we would have never seen dak in preseason so he wouldn't have had the great preseason that he did we would have been all Kellen and probably been a bad year they might have put dak in later but I doubt it. This just further shows that the whole deal with dak last year was mostly luck and dak being ready to play.

Kellen is evidently a good practice quarterback like weedon and was but is not as good in the actual games. Lenahan seems to be a little obsessed with Kellin so I don't know what the deal is on that but I hope they're not stupid enough to lose Rush and keep Kellen .

We've got him for three years, and then an RFA season after that. It'd be amazing if the guy can play well against the #1s and #2s as a rookie.

Seems to me like we've all been amazed last year by Dak and again this year by Rush's performance in the preseason. I'm not doubting the possibilities he might have in store at this point. Our staff has done a pretty magnificent job in preparing both of them. I think Rush might very well continue to amaze us if given the chance. I'm pretty sure Kellen won't though.

You appear to be giving Moore infinitely more credit than he deserves, imho. He has failed at every turn this year, despite Linehan's BS that everyone can see through. Rush has done virtually nothing to warrant a lack of confidence, despite those unconvincing percentages you offer. If Moore is unable to cut it vs. the same 2nd and 3rd string opponents, how he can be expected to do well vs. starters is beyond me. It's just bogus, just so you'll know.

They both likely make the cut for game 1.

The question will come back up when DL Moore and DL Irving return.

You betcha -- if there one thing we have in abundance, It's questions to be answered.

In the meantime, I'm hoping they'll eventually all be answered to our satisfaction. ;)

I actually like how the suspensions of Moore and Irving give the team more time to make roster decisions.

I don't like the Zeke suspension because he is a Super Star and they likely just carry an extra RB while he's out.

So the stripped fumble is not the qb fault? I wish I had boss like that when I my reports are not due at the deadline.
Worse, the " strip fumble" was soft..like Moore in the pocket. That boy looks powerless in the pocket. The DL just jabbed it out of his hand...Johnson or Landry would have dumped his sad backside at halftime!!!

That's a big 10-4 on that notation. I'm liking the idea that it'll give a guy like Rod Smith a chance to distinguish himself, though.

It's the bs willful dissonance. Scott looks like a fraud. Moore can't play at this level, it's patently obvious to everybody.

You realize how stupid it is to support Moore based on this game, right? The 3 & outs ints fumbles & down 21-0. Remembers?

And we.... lost.

Nope, not stupid at all (lol).......matter of opinion. Just matter of opinion and right now that's Linehan. We can throw monkeys and dogs at each other but as now Linehan appears to favor Moore, whether we like it not and to be honest I tend to agree. For me, it comes down to experience. You just can't replace that with a rookie free agent whose only seen few preseason snaps against reserves, especially when defensive coordinators start mixing schemes and coverages. Believe it or not, I actually like Cooper Rush and see the confidence and poise that have fans excited. Hope we can find a way to keep him but not as Dak's primary back for this season. Other words, I don't care if we keep Moore, as long Dak's backup is season vet ...........not a rookie free agent.

Actually, if we look back at how they were going to handle the QB situation last year, I would say there's little or no chance Rush being a primary backup. Dak was a 4th round pick and it took two injuries and trade rejection to elevate him as a starter. Other words, starter by default. Before that, he locked in 3rd on the depth chart after Moore was named Romo's backup early in camp. But now we are to believe this same coaching staff is going trust a rookie free agent as primary backup? I don't see it .......but I could be wrong.

BTW...here's the article of Linehan comments on Moore regarding the Skins game
