This is the draft zone. Not the "defend mediocrity at all costs" zone. BTW apparently you missed a recent poll in the fan zone where 45% wanted to move on from the current QB. Yep a lot of fake fans here. Heaven forbid the team actually gets a QB that gives them a legitimate chance to win it all.
Support for QB in Dallas is always divided.

It's been that way since Acheman.

Drake Maye tearing it up vs S Carolina right now. Terrific ball placement. Doing the odd arm angle throws. Showing better movement skills than I thought. I d be shocked if he didnt go top 2 next spring.

If he plays like this all season, certainly goes top 2.

I like the USC guy.
My issue with Drake Maye is, while I like the ball placement and his pocket awareness - a lot of his game relies on a lot of backyard style tactics. Improvising on the move. That's a good intangible to have and can't be taught, but that stuff doesn't come as easy in the pros. I see comparisons to Justin Herbert, but he could easily just end up being a Sam Darnold as well (who I was very high on in college, sad he mentally broke in the NFL)

As for Caleb Williams, looks like a bigger and better Kyler Murray who I did not like coming out of college. Always got to be weary of those USC prospects though, they tend to make their QBs look better than they are.

True that even if a guy seems like a sure thing, you never know for sure until they get there.

This QB class is stacked, but Williams and Maye still seem like the two best to me, in that order.

Btw, Maye is SO much more athletic than Sam Darnold. I don't see that comp, personally.
Could flop (you never know) but the comps seem to be Carson Pamer (pre acl) and Herbert. I even saw one analyst say he was like a young and mobile Roethlisberger, given how natural he is at the position.
You never know though

Darnold in college relied heavily on getting out of the pocket and making plays. Darnold was pretty athletic I mean, we're talking about a guy who did this in the pros. If anything, I think the Jets didn't utilize this enough

Darnold also didn't protect the ball as well as a QB should when at USC, and that problem followed him to the NFL. Truthfully, another year in college would have helped Darnold out a lot.

Probably would have helped but Helton wasn't doing that team any favors and then ending up with the Jets. Probably the worst possible places for QB development at the time.

Really can't stand the overused "generational talent" moniker.
So moronic to say that, as they seem to say it every other year.

But yes, both Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are beasts.
Both are better than any QB prospect in this past draft, imo.
In a single sentence, the headline says he’s both a copy of Herbert (drafted 3 years ago) and a generational talent (comes around once every 25 years). Go figure.

Physically, Jay Cutler is a carbon copy of John Elway. What an arm, and mobile. Weak-brained, however.
Yes, much faster than Cutler…or Herbert
The kid is between 6’4 and 6’5 and run a 4.6
