Tell that to McFadden and Williams. If we're going to bring in a couple with injury histories, we might as well bring in more and whoever is left standing wins.

The only players we have at RB who don't have a bad injury history are Randle and Dunbar, and that might just be because they haven't played enough.

Tell what? Moreno is out for the year before training camp even starts. There was a reason teams stayed away from him. They knew something was up. Ridley is coming off of an ACL injury. The list of running backs who did much in the season following a major injury such as this is very small.

The guys at the running back position currently in Dallas don't inspire a lot of confidence. That doesn't mean we should pretend that there were lots of great options easily available. Getting someone with pedigree or some level of good would cost lots of money or lots of draft picks to move up and grab. Dallas had slim pickings and no matter who they brought in there would be complaints. If both Moreno and Ridley were in Dallas there would still be a lot of question marks about how the running back position would do this year. Even more since Moreno is done.

Oh, I'm not pretending these are good options. They are just more options. There would still be just as many questions, but at this point, we don't know who is going to answer them. If we had Ridley and Moreno at vet minimums along with the guys we've got in camp, then it just would have given us more options.

Obviously, Moreno probably wouldn't have been signed because of his injury, but there's others out there that stood/stand about an equal chance of failing.

When we're down to picking from the scraps, I prefer having all the scraps I can carry to see if I can put together a meal.
