Tony isn't a drama queen....his third kid is due in August......would he rather be in Frisco or Buffalo

He has made 130m and has had 5 or 6 surgeries.........you think he should add a couple concussions

Being Dak's bak up is a great gig.....5m+ to hold a tablet and stay in DAL for 3-4 more years is smart

OK that shows me who you are lol. You stay in Dallas as a backup. I don't think that's Tony Romo however if it is I'm sorry I've been a fan of his this long and wish I new he was a puss years ago. The only thing I hear coming out of Romos mouth is " I am a competitor, I am not done yet I have 2-3 good years left if not more I am a starter in this league. Jerry better listen or pay the price. If I was Romo n Jerry refuses to cut me loose I would burn him down.

To still be vying for Romo at this point is just embarrassing as a fan. Not that Romo is a bum but that Dak is that good. Teams have gotten rid of quarterbacks who have done far more.
I agree with you %100, it's kind of embarrassing that some fans can't seem to let Romo go. Far greater players have had go through this very same process. Teams wait for years to stumble upon what Dallas did last season by picking Dak, but some still want to revisit the Romo era. If Romo were 29 or 30 years of age, it would be no question about returning to him as quarterback. He is no longer a young man and we don't know if he can play a entire season anymore.

This is just bs. He could easily win a championship with this team and he can very well do it on another team.

HOw is it bs? This team is flawed just like the previous teams Romo has been on except now Romo has a history of injuries. People need to ask themselves are they Romo fans or Cowboy fans.

And I'm sure Romo will cry himself to sleep every night knowing some internet fanboys had their dreams crushed

ExactIt. It's not that I'm not a Romo fan. I love the guy. But I'm not putting my future or present in stake for him when I don't have too.

Forgive me, I am a San Antonio Spurs fan and I know a little something about superstars willing to take a back seat for the sake of the team. You have to be the type of player that is willing to value team accomplishments above individual accomplishments.

In the meantime, Tony is a Dallas Cowboy until the team says he is not or until he decides to retire. The Cowboys have exclusive rights for years and they should, I repeat SHOULD make the decision based on what is best for the team and not what Tony thinks is best for him.

As far as who starts next season, I still believe it should go to the QB that exhibits the best abilities during preseason. I have posted before that, if they are both with us in 2017, the coaching staff should strongly consider using both by inserting the backup occasionally into a game for a full drive in an effort to take advantage of a defense's lack of preparation for such a move. They do have different styles.

Therefore, the Cowboy backup QB would not be used in a traditional sense, but in a way that takes advantage of the talent level at that position. I am not talking about rotating them, I'm talking about taking advantage of certain circumstances in a game. You could change things up by inserting the backup, for example, during the two minute warning at the end of the first half. A defense would not have sufficient time to adjust.

This team is the best team in the NFC. Cowboy fans are Romo fans because he is very good and it is best for the team if he is on it.

This makes sense to me. It is interesting to me that all of the guys at Dallascowboys.com feel that Romo would beat Dak out in an open competition. I also feel that way.
