I think if its that close where the arm is going forward it should be erred toward the qb. If it would have been an empty hand then call it a fumble. Good call imo.

That was easily a fumble, the hand was coming forward without the ball. Seahawks got screwed.

a fumble CAN be challenged.

so as a ref you have to go with your initial call, a fumble, to atleast give a team a chance to fumble and glook at the play.

the refs can get together and talk about all angles....and maybe one official had a better angle.....that is how.

IMO, it was barely an incomplete pass. His arm had just started the forward motion when he was hit.

don't know what you were looking at. He was hit before the arm came forward. On top of that, the referees signaled Seattle ball. Then they change it? Come on, we know the skins are the nfl darlings next to the pats.

All of them do that. Every play that doesn't end in disaster is celebrated.
