Seahawks sold

Was gonna say at some point we will run out of billionaires to buy these franchises but according to Google AI there are over 3400 on the planet, The US alone with almost 1K. So maybe not.
Thank goodness! You had me worried when I first started reading. There’s nothing more valuable to a society than billionaires other than trillionaires.

I’m being greedy now, but I can’t wait until we have more trillionaires. Let’s all vote for more tax breaks for the billionaires and make it happen!!!

Life will be great!!!

so? I'm not sure why they Seattle Seahawks being sold is a story for the Cowboys They're not in the NFC East they're not a rival Doesn't really affect the Cowboys at all I mean who cares who the ownership group is the team is gonna remain very much the same I doubt there's any big changes coming to the roster..
The purchase is not a Dallas Cowboys story. Jerry Jones hypothetically selling the Dallas Cowboys has been a running Fan Zone talking point for decades. This sale was a real-life example of an NFL franchise changing hands. I will not speak for other staff members, but it is highly probable I would have approved the thread in this forum for that reason.

yeah I have never liked the all dark green Sea uni's. But the owner at the time liked them , so thats what happened. I blame Nike, they want to sell sell sell , so they send examples to owners all the time.
I am tired of seeing that stupid nike logo .
It’s ridiculous what been done to certain uniforms over the years, but I’ve learned to ignore it.

Can’t stand Jerry in the slightest, but at least there was no dramatic messing with the uniforms.

Seattle? Forget it. Even the iconic Miami Dolphins look like some weird USFL team from the 80s. The Steelers used to be all intimidating with those huge white block numbers. Now they are small and curvy. How cute. Denver started it in the late 90s. They looked like the Rhein Fire.

One thing you can be sure of in many aspects of life….itll change, and 90 percent of the time it not for the better. I feel like an old man saying that, but this began before that happened lol.

This is exactly why Elon believes it is good for society to age out. People living forever would just slow down progress as old people become set in their ways and are usually very resistant to Change, which is exactly what progressing and healthy society’s need.

I get that he will have to sell at some point, but it would seem like that would be against the NFL ownership rules to legally agree to purchase one NFL team while still owning another.
Keep it in the boys club

Go Cowboys!

Yeah well, contrary to what he might think, he ain’t God.

I get it. First, most ownerships for these big prices are groups, not 1 person, so they are not owners like Jerry or Davis as we old timers are used to. Second, you cannot ask a guy to sell a partial ownership like 3% prior to a deal even going through on the new team. It’s the off season. I’m sure he has to sell his 3% of Niners prior to the season. One of the other owners will likely buy it.
This. There is absolutely a provision in his ownership deal that the group has purchase rights.

It can get complicated i guess, but imagine you sell your SF shares or what have you, first, only to find out the Seattle deal couldn't or doesn't go through.

Double whammy.

I get why the owner would want to wait, but I don't see why the NFL would allow it.

If the owner wants out of San Francisco ownership, the owner should sell their ownership first.

At that point, the owner becomes a risk/problem for the team being left which opens up poaching of personnel, organizational secrets and other risks.

It's even worse when leaving as owner of one team to buy ownership in a divisional rival.

Elon would be just as entertaining an owner as Jerry, the league is not ready for it!
And just as incompetent. Expertise is field-related...not a general skill as Jerry and Elon believe. You either KNOW BETTER or you don't know at all...and those 2 jokers are CLUELESS outside their respective fields of expertise - oil and applied sciences.

Jerry and Elon both say don't be Jelly OGS, it’s not an attractive trait.

Nothing will beat the uniforms the Orlando Thunder had in the world league…

I find it curious that an owner of one NFL team is allowed to buy another NFL team ..
Much less a division rivalry.

If I were a seahawk fan....(or a 9er fan) it would feel weird knowing this.

I wonder if he'll be all cheesball and act like the biggest 9er fan, and be up on the podium, if the 9ers win a SB, and then do a 180 and do the same thing when the Seahawks win a SB.

Imagine Jerry up on the podium grinning like an idiot if he owned a part of the Eagles and they won a SB....then came back to Dallas and started doing his Dallas thing!

its how the league is going, it affects everyone, these teams want to make money, its not 1980 anymore SBs are not teh only goal

Same thing happened with the Panthers - bought by the Steelers minority owner.

This type of arrangement is a safe bet for the NFL owners '- someone who's already in the club.
