carter is going to be hard to sign. i supect he will be the odd man out. durant could be back because he is not all that expensive, lee will be back and be outside where i think he will be fine and he can really cover recievers very good. and we have hitch. i think carter is gone

Our linebackers could be the best in the league next year, put a defensive line in front of them, and it's game over. Best team in the league.

We're ideally situated to focus entirely on the defensive line next year. When you only have one position group to focus on in on offseason, you can make that position group pretty good, pretty quickly, and we may have the building blocks already on the team potentially.

Draft a defensive end and a defensive tackle... and we're probably good to go.

I'd rather Wilbur were the odd man out, but between Carter & DUrant I probably keep Durant. As good as Carter is playing Durant is having a MONSTER season.

At this point, I'd love to keep them all: Lee, McClain, Carter and Durant. I don't know if it's realistic, but it actually would give us a rotation of linebackers who deserve to be on the field. We might can even throw Hitchens into that group if he continues to develop.

Bring back the 3-4: Carter - McClain - Lee - Durant would beast. They'd have speed, power, and versatility. Best LB corps in the NFL! :D

Someone said it in another thread: it may be that Carter has earned a reputation as slow to get comfortable in a new scheme, which might diminish his value to other teams. But you may be right that someone's gotta go, and he may be the most likely.

wilbur is not a free agent, carter is and so is Ro and durant. durant could be cheap, carter could be expensive. i would love to keep them all but it depends on the money

Ro at MIKE
Lee at WILL
Carter at SAM
Durant, Wilber and Hitchens backing up.
Highly unlikely we keep them all. But I want those top 3 guys. Durant can play all three positions and Hitchens two. Wilber will be the odd man out.

If Rolando can keep his head in the game hes the best option. Lee is just a lucky bonus right now. Counting on him is a mistake.

I think McClain, Carter and Lee all start next year but Hitchens will be a quality backup capable of stepping in for any of the three. Considering he has held his own this year when most rookies don't, Hitchens could easily be a starter-level player backing up all three spots next year with more time in the film room and weight room.

McClain is very physical, but I'm not sure that he's better than Lee. Who knows how good Lee will be coming of a major injury, but at this point, I want Lee at weakside LB.

McClain is better than Lee. Thats not taking away anything Lee is good at though. He and Ro will play alongside each other.

I would not mind getting rid of Lee. I would hate to rely on him starting at any of the three LB spots.

It is simple really:

Will - Sean Lee
Mike - Rolando McClain
Sam - Durant or Carter or Hitchens

I am pretty sure that's how it will end up next year. Rolando is playing awesome... but with Lee playing next to him, he'd be even better.

McClain could be our version of Ray Lewis for years to come. MC and Lee & Carter are a wonderful combination, add in some insane pass rusher, and put some depth behind everyone, look out.

Stephen I think deserves a lot of credit team is having this year.

his skill will be put to the test this coming off season. including the draft, the team is so close to having a complete roster. if he can manage some miracles I would be

Both can play at the top level. We don't have to put down one to lift up the other. Lee is instinctive and always around the ball. McClain probably has the better size and frame for the inside.

Carter-McClain-Lee would be awesome. Keep em all.
