While I truly understand what everyone is trying to say, I can't help but chuckle at the concept that we don't have to rely on Lee anymore since we have McClain. If you looked in the dictionary for unreliable, there's a fair chance you would see a picture of McClain there somewhere. I'm excited that McClain has potentially put firing off guns, retirement(s), and depression all behind him, but let's wait and see.

Wow....Who would have thought?

We would have the Best O-Line in football, and be this deep at Linebacker? Idk, if we can pay all these guy, but it would be great if we could keep them all.

Looks like Safety might not be that big of an issue either. We could still use 1 though.

Looks like Safety and D-line in next years draft. Which is great.

Don't think Rolando is all that reliable yet either. But wow is he scary good right now and will only get better by next season.

The unreliably healthy Sean Lee is one of the best LB's in the league when playing. He is a blue chip stud on the field.

Putting him on the outside, which was something I recommended prior to Rolando McClain and Lee's training camp injury, will help him stay more durable in my opinion.

I would even keep Durant playing behind Lee, McClain and Carter. Talk about a team guy who can productively back up all 3 LB spots on this roster.

carter is going to be hard to sign. i supect he will be the odd man out. durant could be back because he is not all that expensive, lee will be back and be outside where i think he will be fine and he can really cover recievers very good. and we have hitch. i think carter is gone

With about 25-30 million to play with, Bruce Carter stays. Theres enough to get everyone signed.

McClain is better than Lee. Thats not taking away anything Lee is good at though. He and Ro will play alongside each other.

We can just agree to disagree. Lee has made a ton of plays over his career, far more than McClain and I think people are contributing the improvement in our defense to McClain being an upgrade over Lee, which is an over simplification imo.

I knew I was gonna get flack about saying McClain is better. Lee is a great player. But McClain adds another dimension and mean-streak to this team that Lee doesn't. Not taking away from Lee. But when McClain is in their he changes the complexity of this defense. He makes everyone better because they know that there's a giant in the middle that will punish people. Lee just doesn't have that punishing presence.

If I'm the front office, my goal is to keep all four linebackers. We've got a lot of injury concerns with all of them, so you shouldn't let good players get away, especially if they don't break the bank. No reason to think Carter is going to break the bank.

Our secondary is okay where it is right now. I think you have Carr take a pay cut or walk, and then you make adjustments to replace him.

Really as I said, the focus needs to be largely on the line.
