They want to be right more than they want this team to be successful. It's a damn shame.

Highly doubt this. It's more people keep saying we are "unlucky" when the fact is we put our eggs into the baskets of players who are oft injured. It's not about being right. It's about being peeved that others fail to see the trend. I keep hearing how good that draft was because of Lee when in reality he hasn't played enough to be considered a plus. That's the rub.

I appreciate the way you think. We both see clearly.

Excellent spot on post.

It's hard to judge the severity of the injury off that.

Guys can walk off the field when they blow their knee out. It's the stopping, starting, changing direction, pushing off and bending that is the problem. Unfortunately it doesn't look good for Sean.

Doubt it all you want. The proof is in print.

Right, I think that you will find plenty of people that questioned the premature resigning and loss of a mid round pick to acquire Lee initially, given his stature and propensity for injury. As you point out, that amounts to a lot of eggs that could have been spread around elsewhere.

That being said, I feel terrible for him, he is an amazing player in a compromised body.

Unless someone is speculating his connective tissue is problematic then each tear has roughly the same mechanism of injury. So each incident is separate. There is no causality between each incident other than the fact in general the injury occurs in the same manner for each player each time it happens.

Unlucky maybe. Perhaps these players are able to stop better when decelerating and/or changing direction etc and this results in a partial or complete tear of the ACL. Sounds like they are worried about tears to the MCL, medial meniscus and ACL. Hopefully there is no nerve damage. If they can suture the meniscus down well without any significant loss of cartilage then they can repair the ACL. The MCL can be more problematic. If so then a year to 18 months of rehab. Tuff loss if all true.

Are you a doctor or medical professional?

Glad to get some actual professional insight for once.

Allegedly.

Ok.....? I'm not sure how to take that response. It's cool if you don't want to share. That's fine. I was just curious. Mainly because if you are, I'm more incline to believe you versus the typical medical diagnosis I've encountered on this board

He clearly does have issues with his connective tissues, at least in the knees, bio-mechanically, if he has in fact torn both ACL's in non, or limited contact exercises. ACL repairs are at 100% or better strength these days, but as you point out, the risk is in the collateral damage to the rest of the connective tissue that occurs once the ACL let's go.
