When we go frustrated about football players, you say "Go play football."

When you get frustrated with your phone, I'll say "Make your own."

I don't see the problem. As consumers we develop a certain level of expectation. If you want to preach no complaining, then be consistent.

When my phone develops a "problem" I troubleshoot and try to fix it. If I can't fix it, I call on a techie. If the techie can't fix it or it isn't cost effective, I replace it. Where's the "Sean Lee replacement?"

And I certainly don't think I'm "smarter" than the guys who made my phone and I don't go around declaring them idiots or that I can build a better phone.

Anyone claiming to be "tougher" than Sean Lee on this board would be crying to their mommas after one day of conditioning, much less an actual practice or a game.

Again, dumb analogy. "Stop complaining" indeed.

Go put a jersey on.

If its incentive based, then it was a smart move. I don't know the details of his contract. But if its indeed incentive based then it was a smart move.

So we are wasting a roster spot on a guy who is made of glass? That's not smart, incentive based or not. Move on and look for a younger replacement who can actually play on the field.

Sean Lee is our Bob Sanders. Except that Sanders was healthy long enough one season to be a key reason the Colts won a SB. Sean lee will never be healthy long enough in any season to be that important.

I hope if it is his ACL that he is tired of all these injuries & retires. The team can move on & he can to.

These injuries stacking up have to mentally be hard to deal with.

Well obviously Sean Lee's talent is worth a roster spot. You can cut people based on unknowns. So cutting him out right would be ridiculous. It's not a smart personnel move to cut some one of his talent level simply to save a roster spot. It's a good move to sign him to an incentive based contract, which the team wont be on the hook for millions of dollars and precious cap space if he continues to get injured. I don't know the details of his contract, but if the team did indeed signed him to an incentive based contract it was a smart personnel move.

Well yeah, all this cutting stuff is nonsense.

The team couldn't even consider cutting (if they indeed had that thought) until he fully recovers from the surgery... which won't happen until next offseason at the earliest.

Folks are frustrated... I get that, but the situation, i.e. Sean Lee being injured and still on the roster, isn't going to change for many months.

no point in cutting him; we already spent the big money. But we should NOT count on him from this point on. Anything he gives us should be considered gravy not part of the main meal.

Miles Austin?
Roy Williams?
Ken Hamlin?
Doug Free?
Brandon Carr?
Romo (Been hurt less success)?
Ware (Same as Romo)?
Ratliff?
Galloway?

Jerry gave them all big deals and they flopped after. These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

How did Romo flop? Because he missed one game? Or because he threw 10 interceptions and was the only reason we were competitive last year?

That is the problem here. You commit the appeal to authority fallacy knowing full well that it isn't as simple as putting on a jersey. It's no different than claiming someone shouldn't teach a kid how to play golf until he/she wins the Masters.

He is the main reason for a lot of losses to. Our team as a whole has gotten worse since he got his new deal and he hasn't stepped up. Rodgers team is always hurt but he gets them to the playoffs. Manning and Brady as well. Romo is getting paid elite QB money and has been a flop for what he gets paid.

I hope all the Cowboys undrafted free agents this year, flop as bad as Romo.

I'm sure Jerry will give them $100M if they prove to be afraid of the big time. Or they can be good for 3 games and be as fragile as expensive China and get at least $50M.
