You're nuts. Romo would run circles around Russell and make him look silly.

Wilson is a bus driver for a machine.

Wilson just won a Super Bowl for the team we're talking about...

There's no way a SUPER BOWL WINNING QB gets replaced for Tony Romo (and I'm not knocking Romo) but when you have a 25 year old QB who has won a Super Bowl in only his second year and will only continue to get better, there's no way you replace him. He's the perfect fit for that team. He keeps plays alive and converts 3rd downs, does not make a lot of mistakes, and is the unquestioned leader of that team.

Wilson is a bus driver plain and simple. I'm not saying he's awful, he's just not dynamic. Maybe he might blossom into that, but color me unimpressed. I like the kid, but he's not my ideal QB. I can thing of at least 10 QB's I would rather have actually. You could have played Tavarus Jackson last night and they would have still won that game.

Many people think Troy Aikman was a bus driver as well...

Does that mean we would have been better off with Steve Young or Brett Favre?

Wilson is suffering from the same dilemma that Troy Aikman suffered from...being punished and disrespected because of the team around him. Yes Russell and Troy had great teams around them, but no one stops to think that maybe, just maybe, they are a big part of the reason why the team was so great in the first place.

I dunno if Romo would replace Wilson or not -- too hypothetical for my tastes.

What we do know about Wilson is he is one of exactly 3 QBs in NFL history to throw more than 50 TDs in their 1st two years in the NFL. The other two? Dan Marino and Peyton Manning. He also has ran for another 5 TDs which puts him near 60 TDs for his 1st two seasons in the NFL.

Wilson has also exceeded a 100+ QB rating in each of his first two seasons.

Wilson also has post-season 102 QB career rating.

We haven't seen Wilson 'have to' throw it a lot in his career, but I think it's obvious he is more than bus driver.

What? You're now comparing a HOF QB to a a 2nd year player? Aikman was arguably the most accurate QB of all time. Now you're comparing Wilson who as actually looked awful in the playoffs until last night.

He's not being punished, or disrespected he's just not that good, yet. Like I previously stated that might change. But now, he's just average IMO. Sorry to spoil your fun.

I'm not comparing the players as far as talent goes, I'm comparing the perceptions that both receive after they win. They only won because of their "teams"...it had nothing to do with either one of them...

That is most certainly not true.

you can deny it all you want...our guys dont have the attitude, drive, give 100% mentality, talent or any mixture of the aforementioned.

You see any of our guys that can look at the camera and say "I'm the best" and it be true? nooooooooope

That was quite the cliche attack.

I wouldn't say no one. Aikman is in the Hall of Fame.

Wilson is most definitely NOT just a bus driver. Over the past two seasons, there are 3 (qualifying) QBs who have averaged 8.0+ YPA.

Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson

Add to that Wilson did not have either of his top WRs for the vast majority of the season. Sydney Rice played 8 games, and Harvin played 1 game.

Show me a corner that can get on the field...oh, wait.

Yes he missed a few games -- dude got hurt then a ton of bricks hit his personal life.

One thing was clear though -- when he's on the field and healthy we are a better D.

We should trade Lee to Seattle. But even without cap implications, I don't think Seattle is in the market for 2nd-tier players. His brittleness makes him a solid 2nd-tier player, just like half of the Cowboys. The rest are scrubs and we need to acknwoledge that for once.

Assuming healthy of course. Last nights game pretty much proves how far away we are defensively. Lee and Church are the only guys who play nasty and hard like those Seattle guys. Makes you want to spend all our draft picks on defense.

Waaa

Agree with your health comment.
If you can't stay on the field , it does not matter
how good you are.
