I'm at a loss that you honestly believe Church is the same caliber of player. Good luck with that, its going to be a bit lonely.

I'm at a loss as to how you don't understand that being surrounded by great players raises the ship for everyone. We have no idea if Church could be that caliber of player -- I sure do know however, that a guy like Chancellor or Sherman who worked up from being a 5th round pick benefited from being around better players

Whether you're surrounded by great players or not a player can still be evaluated. Otherwise how would scouts even begin to scout teams like Bama. Beyond the fact Church isn't even in the same stratosphere athletically he is also nowhere near as good as either in coverage. But if you want to believe it is all opportunity based go for it, but you're going to have a hard time finding anybody that agrees with you.

Also worth noting both have been good since coming into the league, not just this past year. It has taken time to build up the front seven to where its at now.

Wilson throws a better slant/deep ball but that is it (obviously more athletic but also has a poor tendency to run backwards under pressure) . In terms of pure passing or opening up an offense; Romo (healthy back/deep passing reincorporated) would be the more potent option hands down. Long term Wilson would be a better fit (smart, calculating with his "shots", great scrambler, leader, strong enough arm though could improve mid range accuracy.

Reminds me of Montana bc of his size and improvisation but wonder how he would do if "required" to win in a shootout. No gimmick offense (WR pick screens, creative screen passes in general , no trick plays, etc.) I forget that this his only second season (amazing resume) but he has his limitations as well which will surely be improved on as his career progresses. But he couldn't "lead" an Offense the way Romo does when he is on.

you should probably go back and watch that atlanta NFC div game from last year. Wilson LED them back in high scoring affair, and their defense pissed it away

Chicken and egg right there.

no, he's right. church is not even in the same galaxy as those two. Most people who didn't follow the seahawks too closely don't know that kam chancellor was already a pro bowler in his first season as a starter back in '11. We already know how good earl thomas is.

And to refresh, that front 7 for the seahawks did NOT feature even half of their current starters right now.

Any know of that DeMarcus guy on our team.. the future hall of fame one.. Pretty sure he could find a starting spot on that Seattle defense.

He would be 3rd string at best In seattle. Im glad for what he he did earlier in his career in dallas but the last 2 years he might as well sat out both seasons. He was really good but he is not a hofer!

even demarcus ware in his prime wouldn't have the same opportunities. The fact of the matter is, he's made his living as an undersized 3-4 elephant pass rushing olb. as a pure 4-3 DE, he's too small. and as a pure 4-3 lb, he's not good in coverage.

Think of him as a better bruce irvin, a guy who only comes in on sub package situations. And demarcus ware now? psshh......

Ironic you say "galaxy." Galaxy is about what is around you. Crap front 7 = no way to evaluate dbs

I dunno if Romo would replace Wilson or not -- too hypothetical for my tastes.

What we do know about Wilson is he is one of exactly 3 QBs in NFL history to throw more than 50 TDs in their 1st two years in the NFL. The other two? Dan Marino and Peyton Manning. He also has ran for another 5 TDs which puts him near 60 TDs for his 1st two seasons in the NFL.

Wilson has also exceeded a 100+ QB rating in each of his first two seasons.

Wilson also has post-season 102 QB career rating.

We haven't seen Wilson 'have to' throw it a lot in his career, but I think it's obvious he is more than bus driver.

Don't let the facts get in the way of his bus route you will upset the passengers to Mediocreville

He could start the 12th man flag at the beginning of the game but that's about it unless he had a time machine.

2 down seasons doesn't take away from Ware's HOF career it isn't Madden where you have to gain the points to make it in.

Well, they actually are the better players. Save Earl Thomas, I do not know what other players they would be benefitting from.

Gee, could it be an awesome front seven?

The front seven that was so awesome two free agents signed one year deals and were instant starters?

Their front seven hasn't been amazing the entire time either. There is a reason that Sherman, Chancellor, and Thomas are thought to be top players at their spots and it ain't just the front seven.
