“If you don’t want to be here and play for this team,’’ a fired-up Lee tells “Ben & Skin’’ on 105.3 The Fan, “then move on. I’d rather go down with guys who want to be here and want to win than win with guys who don’t want to be here.”

“When it comes to that situation,’’ Lee says, “we’ve moved on.’’

“We have guys who are ready to play, who work extremely hard, and who care about each other as teammates,’’ Lee says. “As teammates, all we care about is each other.’’

I think this speaks volumes. I think players felt let down by Rat and it seems he wore out his welcome. Makes me wonder how long this has been going on with Rat. Does anyone if he had red flags coming out of college? The only person we heard that was hopeful that Rat would be back is Hatch. I wonder how he feels now.

Someone had to say it and put it in propper perspective. Glad that Lee did.

Sean Lee is exactly what this team needed, on an off the field. If he keeps this up there might be a spot in the ring for him at the end of his career.

Ratliff is a punk. Ok, Jerry is a POS but you're not playing for him. How can he do Ware and Hatcher like that? Smh he already got his money from Jerry. I hope he doesn't get another job.

Love Lee. I hate how they take what he said and twist the headline into him saying "Good riddance," though.

The NFL is going to come down hard on him but he will get another job unfortunate.

Wow. Well, there *is* a lot more to that Ratliff story, then. And it's looking more and more likely that it really was bad blood all along and that the team has just been trying to cover that up.

I also suspect that the giving away of his number to another player immediately was pointed, and not just coincidence. :)

I heard the interview on my home this afternoon and Lee did indeed say that. But he also followed that up by saying that he doesn't know the entire situation and he doesn't have any details. It sounded like he made a general statement about preferring to play and lose with players who want to be there rather than play and win with those who don't want to be there. He was responding to how the question was asked which certainly led him to answer the question in a very particular way.

I love Lee and he is a leader in every sense but the media is trying to make something out of this by insinuating that Lee spoke directly to how Ratliff handled the situation. That certainly was not my impression when I heard his response.
