I used to love the Ratliff. Loved how he earned his place from being a low draft pick and becoming for a little while. Hate it turned this far south for him, but gotta love the way Sean Lee feels

Taking what Lee said about Ratliff and what Marvin Austin is saying about being a bit overwhelmed by how hard Dallas practices and what's expected of players on every play, I think it's safe to say that this unit may be finding its identity: hard working tough guys. And seeing how guys like Harris and Beasley have done this season along w/ guys on the Oline and the STs coverage/blocking guys, maybe the mentality is spreading throughout the team. They may not win every game, but they will not go down wthout a fight.

Rat is serious issues. I don't know if he is bipolar or on the juice or what, but something is wrong. Lee is a leader and summed everything up nicely. Rat didn't want to play for the cowboys so good riddance to him.

This is just another great reason to love Sean Lee. I hope this guy is able to stay healthy the rest of his career, have a great long career, and continue to make Cowboys fans proud.

I'll also bet that if Ratliff's agent hadn't said he could suddenly play in 2 weeks now, and instead had Ratliff sat out till 2014 like first claimed, that Lee likely wouldn't have said quite as much here. I think this is more of a response to the fact that Ratliff went from unable to play at all this year, and in a great deal of pain and such, to two weeks later he's going to be in football shape and ready to play a mere 10 days after Dallas gave him what he wanted and cut him.

Agree with your first comment.

Can't say I do about Lee and his comments. I'd be willing to wager the farm the team knew what was going on and probably resented Ratliff for sitting on his arse while they worked theirs off. All-the-while pocketing ten million dollars.

Also, it has been said that Ratliff was 'suprised' by being cut.

I doubt anyone else will say it but here it goes Thank You Coach Garrett of ridding the team of the me players and putting in place a group of team guys. You got to pull the weeds before the flowers can grow.

Why does the Rat situation sort of remind me of the Haynesworth situation in Washington a few years ago. Part me wonders that maybe JG or Kiffin told him he was not guaranteed a starting spot when he comes back.

I have no issue with Lee and him trying to be the Team Leader but this guy has never played a Full Season and could not play thru a Toe Injury last year. Once he makes a few Pro Bowls and plays a few Full Seasons - Then and Only Then should he open his month about Jay and other players. Allow Romo, Witten, & Ware make these statements to the Media because they have been Warriors who have played FULL Seasons. Furthermore, Lee did NOT deserve his extension based his Injury Prone Seasons with Dallas. Lee should just abstain from this issue and concentrate on staying healthy and leading the Dallas Defense to a Super Bowl Trophy.

First of all.. Who cares if he makes the pro bowl. Its silly to judge a player by a popularity contest that means nothing. Second.. Couldnt play through a toe injury? If Lee could have gotten on the field he would have. The toe, and the BIG toe happen to be quite important and nearly impossible to walk without , nevermind play..

So much ignorance in this post.

Lee and Rat could not be more different players. And Lee is the kind of player you want. Rat is a loser

I was speaking to how Rat probably sees Jerry.

Gottcha. Yeah even if Jerry had treated Jay badly he still needed to honer the contract he signed, and have the heart to go out there and compete with the other guys on the team. You see players like D Ware that are basically glued and taped together at the end of every season, and he just missed his first game.
