That is dumb, you take all the money you can get in your nfl career.
Oh thanks. In that case, he probably is forced out of the game anyway before playing the needed # snaps.
Principled young men like Lee won World War II.
Such men are nearly extinct today.
I love Sean Lee. But that was a huge mistake. Perhaps more than most, he's a play away from retirement.
Whatever he does after he's done playing, he'll have a long career. I don't think money will be an issue for him.

The Joneses will definitely do something to hook him up. He was held out of a game this year after his second concussion even though he was cleared in the protocol. That will probably be the most deciding factor other than the Jones good will for a great player.

Playing hurt is a great way to end your career
not saying that he thought of it this way, but i'm sure it's the kind of thing that will come up eventually when they have to decide to keep him for the next season or cut him to save money. so, in that respect, he just traded $2m now for a few more a little down the road.
but, yes, i do believe it was about the principle of the thing for him. just the way he's wired.
and, yes, i do think he'll be a coach when he hangs 'em up. would not be surprised at all to see him work his way from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator...
didn't they bring dat nguyen back as a coach, until he decided to walk away from coaching?
