Sean Lee gets his first opportunity to face Golden Tate since that cheapshot. I don't doubt for a second that he's forgot that hit. Add to the fact that he just got snubbed from the Pro Bowl? Wouldn't wanna be Tate on Monday night.

Barry Church vowed to get revenge on Tate for Lee in the playoff game vs. Detroit in 2015 (Lee wasn't healthy), but that never happened. I actually made a hype vid for that match-up vs. DET, where you can see how smug Golden Tate is:

Ummm, ok. I don't understand the Church video. Thought I was going to see him lay a good lick on Tate but.....and hopefully Lee could get a nice shot in on him but if I was Lee I would watch out for another cheap shot from that little punk because you could bet anything that if he has the opportunity to do it again he will.

I don't have any complaint about the hit. Tell you what...some Cowboy should have evened the score. In the old days ole Golden wouldn't have finished the game. Thats my only problem with that play. Think Randy White or Cliff Harris would have let that slide? No way!

Man. I can still feel that hit. I remember Ware just running on by.....Someone should have settled it.

I'd be more worried about this being Stafford's revenge game for the questionable PI call in the playoffs two years ago.

There's not much you can do about that hit if you're on defense.

Retaliation to the hit looks petulant.

But the issue was the celebrating and if IIRC no penalty flag for either.

He has shown a past tendency to lay an egg against NFC East opponents with the exception of the Cowboys. He is from the Dallas area.

I don't see why that's a cheap shot? That's a nasty good block on Tates part.
For me I always looked at blindside hits as coward shots. Especially because during practice there were offensive players who would do nothing but look to see what guys they can catch off guard for a blindside hit as opposed to taking them head on. Sure you got to keep your head on a swivel, but its a coward play by punk players.

I hope Lee kills him. Wouldn't mind a Jeff Heath missle shot on him, too (just ask Lockette how that feels).

Golden Tate is their best receiver and our players should want to punish him. Within the confines of the rules. Like the Lockette hit. :)

I'm surprised at the number of people who seem to think this kind of hit is okay.

Yet they also seem to think retaliation/a penalty flag is warranted?

The issue was Tate's "celebration", not the hit.

If you're really looking for revenge, be reminded that Jeff Heath ended the career of a Seattle player with an illegal block just last season. "But he didn't celebrate", so it's not the same I guess.

Hit was illegal. He lead with the helmet. I don't dispute that I played in a time when this was common place but in todays game, that's an illegal hit.

On the other hand, nothing about the Heath hit on Lockette was illegal. Clean hit all the way. I know that probably sounds like a homer position to take but it's true.

The issue was with Tate's celebrating while Lee was down. Cowboys of the 70s or 90s would have ended Tate's season that day.
That doesn't make it a cheap shot. Yeah it's garbage he celebrated. But it was a good clean hit
