I can wacth the highlights or condensed game in 10 min. I go play soccer or, baseball with the 4 year old how or teach her to ride a bike. this team doesnt love me nor can i influence it. if I have gone from spending 10 hours a week to 10 min a week on this fundamentally flawed team, reason is on my side. If you watch it live and enjoy the product vs time spent with other people or hobbies, great for you. Given your snark post-ellipses, it shows your priorities and general happiness
Wasn’t meant to be spark....that aside, you're doing the right thing. My daughter is getting married in January and moving to Arkansas...they grow up fast and MUCH more important than a game. Good for you.

When you get wrecked and exposed this bad, this early in the season. It’s over. Ravens will score 60. Opinions.
I think you might be jumping the gun a bit, but I feel you brother. Lol

Until we beat the Ravens and we’re back! Lol
This loss was actually pretty damn predictable. It's who these guys have been for years. You don't know who will show up on Sunday. It's why we can win 12 games and get pummeled in the WC round.

Boo all you want. Hell we did today in the stadium. But wishing your team to lose is the epitome of a ridiculously bad fan. Why would you want your team to lose and give up 70? Do you think it would change anything? There’s no good reason, not one, for someone to say they hope their team gets beat the second game of the year. It shows how much of a loser and quitter you are!
I’m into my 6th decade as a Cowboys fan and 4th decade as a season ticket holder. I’ve experienced highs and lows during all that time, but not once during the lows have I rooted for them to lose.

I don’t expect to win every game, just a competitive game save for a very occasional egg. Problem is, this team has not been competitive in 2 of the last 3 games, both of which were home games.

I travel 2 hours to go to the game and if this team continues to fail to play competitively, I won’t spend my time attending. Based on the # of open seats and Saints fans at yesterday’s game, it appears a significant season ticket holders have already madd that choice.

Ehhh… season isn’t “over”. But confidence is at an all time low that this group of coaches and players can get it done.

I can see them winning 9-10 games and then crapping the bed again like yesterday as soon as everything is on the line.

And none of us will be surprised.

BUT that begs the bigger question. What if someone sees the team winning 12 games for the fourth straight season BUT is not surprised when the team craps the bed again? (asking for a friend).

I'm almost certain MM didn't hire Zimmer and this is the problem with the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones. Let the coach do all the football personnel hiring.

^ This. In Dallas, let the head coach sink-or-swim with staffing choices. If the choice drowns him, fire him and get someone else.

Seriously? What would be the detrimental change in hiring strategy? Jerry Jones has been making the head coach's staff hiring decisions for decades. How well has that hiring strategy worked for him in the post-Jimmy Johnson era?

As I've stated in a few other threads:

The hopium crowd will down play the loss and operate from the one game at a time and full season left to play mindset.

The less optimistic fans will say that nothing has changed when you look at this team's playoff future and it doesn't take 15 more games to see that.

Just pick a side.

The 1970 season was the first year the Cowboys went to the Super Bowl.

Early in the regular season they lost to the Vikings 54-13 and the Cardinals 38-0.

The Cowboys were in a five-team division in 3rd place at 5-4. The Cardinals were 7-2. The Giants were 6-3. It was a 14 game season so there were only 5 games left.

The team held a player only meeting. Obviously, nobody but the players know who said what. However, somebody on defense must have said something that hit home. The Cowboys went undefeated the rest of the regular season and it weas the defense that led the way.

They beat the Packers16-3, the Washington team 34-0, the Browns 6-2 and the Lions 5-0.

When you average out the scoring of the last five regular season games plus the three playoff games, that average comes to 7.75 points a game.

I'm not promising or predicting anything for the Cowboys this season.

All I'm saying is the season is not over.

My opinion is the Cowboys are in 1st place after 2 games and a clown says the season is over.

At my barbershop they were discussing if Landry should be fired.

They are back already with the terrible Eagle loss and the Eagles play at Saints with short rest. Also McCaffrey and Deebo are both out for the 49ers and they gave up 6 sacks in the loss to the Vikings.

No doubt. It was also discussed after the 1974 season when they went 8-6.

What happened? The Cowboys ended up going back to the Super Bowl in 1975.

You can't judge a season by a game, especially the 2nd game of the season. This team is young and inexperienced. They installed a new defense from a new DC. They lost several other coaches and players.

This is a team that will improve as the season progresses, barring a catastrophic string of injuries.

This is why my prediction has been that the Cowboys will go 10-7 this season but they will be a better team than the previous 12-5 seasons and they will perform better in the playoffs.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Cowboys went 5-5 in their first ten games and still ended 10-7.
