Season isn't over but you need a new QB, now!

We’re stuck with Dak.

If you like mediocrity then you’ll love the Cowboys for the next few years.
I think mediocrity is actually putting a positive spin on things. I can see this team being the worst in football in the next 2 or 3 years. The Dak contract will make it virtually impossible to make any moves or improve this roster.

3-3 and embarrassed isn’t the place you want to be after six games, but the season is far from over and is still salvageable. Win your next two and you’re 5-3 and nobody will remember this beatdown. The only way we can save this season from going completely off the rails now is we need a new QB. Trade Dak NOW. Get all the assets you can get. There is a team out there that will take on his contract. Some owner will believe he is the missing piece to their puzzle. I beg you Jerry. Correct your mistake now. Please salvage this season!!
I've been told, on this board for years, that regular season wins don't matter... so why are you freaking out? /S

How many of these ridiculous "We need to trade Dak" threads are going to be allowed? We all know Dak isn't going anywhere for the next 5 seasons.
"Allowed?"

Without consulting with the staff, I believe it is safe saying the total number of threads (not violating site rules) on any topic shall exceed any member's expected cap number on said topic.

If there was a "cap" it would have been exceeded years ago...... :lmao2:

With this current roster and GM, Mahomes couldn’t save this season for them. It’s way more than just the QB. Although I would still take Mahomes and several other QB’s at this point.

Some day that last sentence may well be Jerry Jones' epitaph.

This is totally false. The cap only will keep getting bigger as the years go by. Y'all are really giving this front office a pass if you think Dak's contract ties their hands from making any roster improvements. The Rams in 2021 had a lot of big contracts and they kept getting players to improve. There is also a draft every single year. But instead of improving through there, we use our top 2 picks in 2023 on Mazi and Schoon. Our top pick in 2024 was Guyton, who never played tackle at all in college. These are 3 terrible picks. Go back through our last 5-6 drafts and you will find a lot of misses. Hard to build a roster with a ton of missed draft picks.

A good front office can easily make moves around Dak's contract. But ours isn't a real front office. It's ran by the Jones circus, 2 guys with zero actual football roster knowledge.

There's no such thing as "cap hell". This was a label front offices wanted their fans to latch onto to give them a pass for being bad at their jobs.

So you are ok with Dak being the highest paid player in the NFL?
You think he is worth that salary and is a difference maker?
His play is just going to decline as his salary increases.
Stafford is also a better QB than Dak!

We have him for the next 4 year. He is not going any where
Why? After this total collapse we will probably be able to get a top QB in the draft who will not be making any real money ........ bench Dak and he will beg for a trade ....... then one of these other teams the Dak lovers keep saying would have paid that contract can have him ....... unless there is no other team that would pay him.

Even if we keep him ....... just pretend the guy starting is making the money and the guy on the bench is the one making rookie numbers.

In four years Dak will be off the books just in time to pay the kid.

Here we go again. There is no single player born that is going to come in and salvage this team. There is no QB ever born who could fix this team. The defense is awful, the offensive line is awful. The RBs are awful. The WRs are awful too. The entire rosters stinks. Dak is overpaid but he is not the reason they are losing 47-9. I could point to 9 guys on defense who need to improve and probably just as many on offense. I would also say the coaches need to be better too.

This team in 2024 is a disaster compliments of an owner who sat on his hands knowing he had no run defense and no running game. Instead of grabbing a couple of players to fix it, he let even more players go to other teams and he made this team worse. Stop expecting this lousy team to win.

It amazes me how ignorant people still are about the salary cap. At this point it's just being lazy. You keep buying that nonsense about Jerry's pie and he'll keep selling it.

Stuck!!!!
Ain't no quitting Dak, buckle up for 4 or 5 years...here we goooo.

Yea ....... eagles pay Wince big money ...... replace him one year later .......... cut him .......... in Superbowl 4 years after signing him to contract with another QB.

No….we don’t have to get over it.

We told you guys that this would happen if you resigned Dak to a dumb deal. And we certainly won’t let you guys forget about it!
I’m not defending Daks play etc

Dak isn’t going anywhere, the trade demands are laughable. No team can walk away from this cap hit. No different than Lawrence or Watson or any other over paid QB

Yeah, cause that’s going to do it. LMAO it goes way deeper than that.
