I don't think Smith's grade is bad... Considering there are 75 tackles that have been graded thus far. He's in the top 1/3.

Last year Smith was ranked 40th.

Don't know how those rating are compiled, but:

• There's no way Free is that good
• Ware has not been that good this season
• There's no way there are 56 db's better than Scandrick
• There's no way there are 94 db's better than Claiborne (though the last two games he's been much better than the previous games).
• Seems a little high for Selvie
• There's no way Hatcher is the best DT in the game.
• Everyone on our line is above average (well, I guess Leary is average). When is the last time we could say none of our starting OL is below avg?

I never expected Claiborne's number to be so low. If we got even mediocre performance from Claiborne, we could very well be sitting at 6-1.

It will be interesting to see where DT Drake Nevis appears?

He has absolutely played better than Smith. Smith has had 2-3 instances where he didn't provide help on the inside guy, it just got cleaned up most of those times.

He is not -- but the way PFF grades, he comes out that way b/c they don't factor in things like how often the player gets help on a block - Tyron is our best OL -- he's on an island on almost every play. If he got as much help as Free, he'd never give up a pressure.
