Our defensive line will make their O line look like ours. Our d line is below avg so it will make an opponents avg oline look powerful.
Yeah but you can disguise that
I'm counting on rod to have a more aggressive game plan this season much like the game he called against Miami last year

Seattle, Carolina, Arizona.

These are 3 great, complete teams in the NFC with both a great offense and a great defense. And most likely we will be going on the road in if we make the playoffs. Then there is GB and Aaron Rogers.

This is the problem. How do you beat those top 3 complete teams when our D wont be able to stop any of them?

I know it is the preseason. I hated the fact that 2 years ago, the Eagles went undefeated in the preseason and their fans were talking Super Bowl (they wound up doing horrible once the season started). In addition to that, I am normally a glass-half-empty kind of guy. But I was pretty impressed by the fact that when the first-stringers were in for the first half, we played Seattle to a 10-10 draw. I think that Seattle was pretty much at full strength and our team was playing without our first string QB and our starting #1 beast WR.

In other words, we were able to hang with one of the 3 great complete teams that you mention, on the road, with basically the same missing parts that we had last year.

I'm not into moral victories, but I found this very encouraging.

IMO you undersell the Eagles defense. They will be pretty good. Not great or elite but they have a strong DL and two good safeties. They are weak at CB, though.

Their problem is their offense might be atrocious. Like less than 20 points a game bad.
And Dallas' pass defensive stats were pretty good despite a limited pass rush. Top 5 in the NFL in pass defense and one of the fewest pass TDs allowed. And the offense really did nothing all year and put the defense in bad spots.

It's interesting that we arent following the bigger models in pursuing championships in the NFC of building great defenses??

Denver and Seattle (even SF under Harbaugh) are built around an elite D with a grind it out ball control offense.
