What a wonderful day!

I'm just RELIEVED. I don't EVER bet but was so sure that Seattle would win I opened an account at 5dimes earlier this week. However, I didn't muster the courage to deposit the money until Friday. I laid out 1k on the Hawks to win straight up on the moneyline. (they were -315 at kickoff I believe) So I 'won' about $345 but sure don't feel like it tonight. Just dodged a huge bullet. Don't know what the heck I was thinking. (was actually going to bet 3k originally but couldn't pull the trigger. Kinda wish I would have now. Meh....NO more betting as I suck at it.

Nothing to do with stats. It's about "make the play when it counts." It always counts. Make the plays early and there's no need for late heroics. If GB goes for it early, they probably win.

Very often, the most important plays of the game happen in the 1st quarter. The fact that nobody notices doesn't make it less true.

If... Really?

Negative.

No football player or coach would agree with that.

Big time players make the plays when the game is on the line... Down the stretch. Crunch time.

If your theory was right then they would stop playing in first quarter.

I have to go all the way back to January 1995 to have a similar feeling as to how I feel about this game today and the Super Bowl. Where the Cowboys at least could have, if not should have, won it all.

And there it is. Put that one on ESPN. Wilson can't hold Romo's jock. He sucked today, but got bailed out.

True. But it's all about winning. And winning when it matters most. It's not about stats. It's not about regular season. It's about winning. Wilson doesn't care he isn't the top ranked quarterback statistics-wise. Nor does he care he threw four interceptions. All he cares about is that he's going to his second consecutive Super Bowl.

It works both ways. What about all the picks Wilson threw early? If he didn't throw them then he wouldn't had to come back in the 4th.

If GB catches the onside kick or Dix knocks down the 2 pt conversion they still win. Looking back to the 1st quarter is Monday Morning QBing at it's worst. Make the plays late and none of that early junk matters.

LOL at those that thought the teams left in the playoffs are better than us.

Refer to the post game or Sherman thread.

The best Cowboy team of the 90s was that team that lost to the 9ers in the NFCCG.

Or make plays early and score two TDs instead of 2 FG's and none of that late junk matters. As he said it works both ways, hence why coaches teach them to play for 60 minutes not the last 10. You never know what play you missed may come back to bite you in the ***.

Romo never has the chance to come back in games where he is bad.

Before this year if he throws 4 picks he isn't down 16 he's down 40.

Just stop.

Who made this about Romo? Why are you all so sensitive? Is it because you know it applies to Romo too?

Look, whether you like it or not, that's the way people perceive teams and quarterbacks. You can tell me to stop all you want, that won't change reality.

If a player throws four interceptions, but leads his team back, that quarterback isn't going to be thinking about the four interceptions. He's going to be celebrating the victory.

But they got stopped by a great Defense on those goal line plays. You act like because they were close to a couple TDs that they blew them. They still had to execute and the Seattle D executed better. Getting FGs was the best option because if they went for it they probably get stopped.
