But they got stopped by a great Defense on those goal line plays. You act like because they were close to a couple TDs that they blew them. They still had to execute and the Seattle D executed better. Getting FGs was the best option because if they went for it they probably get stopped.

I used the TD's in the first half as an example. My point is the game can be decided at any point in time, and all plays can be and are important. It is stupid to think or coach otherwise.

Cowboys defense got by with turnovers, but they easily had the worst unit among all playoff teams.

I believe the Cowboys defense is better than Colts D and their just as good as the pack's D.

True, much like Romo after the Buffalo game. Brady's thrown 3 in two AFC Championship games and won them. Winning erases everything but it's still the ultimate team game. People can say all they want that he's clutch but without the onside kick he was horrible in the biggest game of the year and lost.

Also, I would put away the anointing oil on Wilson for now. He's probably going to lose Lynch next year and I just don't see him as a guy who can carry a team offensively for an entire season. Teams will approach him differently without a dominant run game.

BTW - I like Wilson a lot, on the field and off. I think he's as smart and self aware as there is in the game.

My point is that the Seattle Defense made the plays that counted in the 1Q. You can't just assign TDs to GB because they were close. You are playing a hypothetical game saying if GB was up 35-0 they would've won, no duh. But they weren't up 35-0, they were up 6-0 because of a couple Seattle mistakes led to great field position

That's the 10,000 pound word that changes reality into fantasy. Fact is, they got the onside kick. And Wilson made the plays he needed to.

As for anointing oil, it's safely on the shelf. But I'm not saying Wilson is a great quarterback. I'm merely saying he's resilient, and he makes the plays he needs to deliver wins for his team. And maybe he doesn't do as well next year. But nobody can take away his Super Bowl ring for last year, and his NFC Championship win today.

That's all I'm saying.

Even if Lynch goes I expect Seattle to replace him in some fashion (though it won't be same fury that Lynch seems to exude to help propel his team). I think Wilson will continue to improve and will do ok without Lynch.

Personally I am a fan of Wilson. He seems like an intelligent person from most of his interviews and the Seattle organization is on top of things so I imagine they are aware or his shortcomings and will look to supplement those. He was terrible tonight, no two ways about it, but he made a couple of fantastic plays to end the game and that cannot be taken away from him here. Yes, the rest of the team put him in the position to have that opportunity, but he made the most of it too. I appreciate how both Seattle and New England are run as organizations, even if I don't particularly like the teams, and I think it will be a worthy Super Bowl, much superior to last years. I'd prefer New England ultimately because they are in the AFC but only by a hair. Hopefully its a cracking game.

I'm just RELIEVED. I don't EVER bet but was so sure that Seattle would win I opened an account at 5dimes earlier this week. However, I didn't muster the courage to deposit the money until Friday. I laid out 1k on the Hawks to win straight up on the moneyline. (they were -315 at kickoff I believe) So I 'won' about $345 but sure don't feel like it tonight. Just dodged a huge bullet. Don't know what the heck I was thinking. (was actually going to bet 3k originally but couldn't pull the trigger. Kinda wish I would have now. Meh....NO more betting as I suck at it.
