I didn't have a problem with Choice getting Vicks autograph. It was when and how he did it.

Hell I would asked for his autograph as well, just asher the game and the media and tv crew left

I think you should be getting your contemporaries photos not autographs, that behaviour just makes you look sawft.

This guy is not going to be an every down back. He's going to be the short yardage guy. Get those dirty yards. I don't like hearing he has a bit of a fumbling problem. That drove me crazy with Murray. Michael can't do that. But that aside, It looks like he's the perfect back for doing the things that McFadden and Randle aren't the best at. I just don't see Dunbar getting alot of play time other than special teams

All he needs to do is mature and be receptive to coaching. They'll regret trading him soon enough.

He may mature and he may set the world on fire, but I doubt they second guess this move even once. Why? It very well could be the change of scenery which is not something you can duplicate while simultaneously keeping a player.

When you talk about pure running ability, he actually may be the most talented of the four currently in the Cowboys stable. He's not just a bruising runner; he actually has some speed to his game, as well. The question is can the coaches trust him to hold on to the ball and can he pick up the blitz. If the coaches don't trust him to do those critical things, he may not make it to the 46 roster for the 3 consecutive times that would warrant the Cowboys sending Seattle that 7th round pick.

One thing to consider... immaturity can be magnified when a guy drafted that high sees no hope of ever seeing meaningful playing time. After SEA re-signed Lynch to his extension last year, Michael may have shut it down mentally because he was never going to be the starter there (barring injury). Not a good reaction, for sure. But here, his slate is clean. And there is no franchise RB blocking him from playing time. The best RB will play the most, period. I think we get his best effort because of that, and because he wants to be in Texas. And I think our simple, zone blocking offense fits his ability much better than SEA's zone read/"dark crease" system which requires much more patience. Ours is one-cut and go. Great trade IMO.

On the surface, it may have been the best trade available to the Cowboys, all things considered. I think it was a great trade in the sense that the conditions for that 7th round pick are easily avoidable should the Cowboys deem him damaged goods.

I agree except for the last part. No doubt we are going to owe Seattle that 7th, a pick well spent IMO. Just glad we have a "dirty yards" back on the roster, finally. But Michael is going to have to learn the Cowboy way if he wants to stay longer than just this season.

One thing that stood out to me in watching his highlights is that he struts around like a cocky SOB after nearly every solid gain.

Between him and Dez, opposing teams/fans are going to hate their GUTS, and you know what? I'm totally cool with that.

Count me among those who thinks people's disgust with celebrating a good play is a bit overblown. When you are on that stage and your adrenaline is running in the red, and you do something like get a 1st down, I honestly can't blame a player for celebrating...even when it's oddly inappropriate and there's no way you are going to win on the scoreboard.

I can't take credit for this point. Another poster brought it to my attention on another thread regarding this topic. The Cowboys are going to have to cut 2 players when McClain and Hardy are activated for game 5. When they made this deal, it's not too much of leap to think they may have had that fact in mind. If he turns out to be what Seattle think's he is, he might be 1 of the 2 before he hits that 3rd time on the game day roster.

Any idea why he has just 1 career catch? Anyone know if he can catch? Lol...

They say he has outstanding hands. It is interesting that he only has one catch. of course, he barely has any runs either.

Also, I could be wrong, but I don't see Michael being a good fit in a zone scheme.

Murray, Randle, and McFadden can run behind basically any scheme.

Michael looks like more of a North and South guy.

So was Murray. Besides, his former FB, Robinson strongly disagrees with you. Thinks the 1 cut zone is perfectly suited to his skills moreso than Seattle's more complicated zone read.

Murray could do it all.

In college he was 90% zone. That's what we drafted him based on.

Cowboys blocking scheme is a mixture of zone and power. Not so concerned about CM figuring it out.

It's a good thing he will have gaping holes to run through.

My biggest fear going into the season as that everyone expects our Oline to open the Red Sea on every down. When it does not happen there will be panic and Romo will be left carrying the team again on his shoulders.
The O line is good but that does not mean every play will be a cake walk for the RBs. We need runners to make their plays as welll.

It was weird because I was at his 1st couple of training camps and he was terrific catching balls in practice.

I think most of his issues here were mental and not physical. He eluded that he couldn't be himself here because coaches and FO wanted him to be another Witt. In every way. I always thought this was a very bad idea. MB and Witt couldn't be more opposite.

Once he left here and was allowed to be just himself, you saw what kind of talent he was. You can't always expect to fit a square peg in a round hole.

These guys are fans too. The autograph was for Choice's nephew I believe

Let's see.. He was stuck behind Lynch and is a completely different type of player than Turbin was.

I can say that both Marshall Faulk and Steve Mariucci were absolutely thrilled about him and thinks that he's a great fit for the team and will do great here. They both said that he was instantly the best RB on the team and should easily be the starter. This happened during the segment where Irvin was asking them what they thought of him because he wasn't familiar with him as a player and was trying to figure out what type of player he was.

I don't think I'd go do far as to use the word 'disgust', but I think he looks foolish trying to look like a tough guy and celebrating every small accomplishment he makes. It shows a lack of awareness and maturity to me. He's a third string guy, not the man. Know your role, shut your mouth, and do your job. Focus on getting better and doing the things you need to do to play more and eventually be the man.

Seattle wanted him to do that and to eventually be Lynch's replacement. And because he failed, they're paying Beast Mode big money to stick around, signing Fred Jackson, and holding onto undrafted free agents. Hopefully, being traded away for table scraps and replaced by a guy off the street serves as a wake up call that he's not as good as he seems to think he is and if he doesn't work harder and get better, he might end up as nothing more than unfulfilled potential.
