you tell em man. it's still early. morning cbz

My bad. It's 11:15 AM where I'm at, so I never get the time right anyway.
:banghead:

well its 4:05 pm now, so if it is 5 pm before final cuts have to be announced, then it will be 5 pm because the cowboys always wait till the last minute to announce theirs;

a pretty good thought about the cowboys trying to wait till the last minute, that way the other teams have made their cuts, and they might want others players they see then ours;

but if you have beeen watching the cuts, no one so far has filled their roster yet with practice squads, etc

10 to 1, other teams are waiting for the cowboys to make our cuts to pick up what players we cut and release

like jerry and stephen said, the phones have been ringing off of the walls, but i have been watching NFL Network, and so far nothing,

looks like jerry and stephen fooled us on the possible trade thoughts;

Anyone else get the feeling this "last minute" stuff is all for the Hard Knocks BS?

Trying to add drama to next week's episode.

Really, it's not that hard. The only thing that puts a wrench into it are the WR injuries, but even then - IMO - it's not too bad cuz none of those injuries are long term.

That is one thing I liked about Parcells though, he would have already put at least one of those guys on IR, just cuz it was gonna screw up his roster for the first few weeks. I would have had Hurd on IR already. High ankle sprains linger and Austin was about to push him down to #4 on the WR list anyway (MY OPINION), plus Austin is a better special teams player. Put Hurd on IR, go with 5 WRs (TO, Crayton, Austin, Stanback, and Amendola) and keep the 4 top TEs (cuz Witten could also be used as a WR). So instead of 6 WR/3 TEs, you go 5/4 knowing that one of those TEs can play WR too.

Not necessarily...a trade must be approved by the League, which takes time.....As Reality said, and then it could take hours after the fact before it is released to the media...

point in case, the dolphins as you know were trying to trade beck or josh mccown,

they finally traded mccown for a 7 pick and another pick i think in the trade, but thats all from the panthers

so the cowboys probably thought they had some good trades possibilities, but seems like they just thought they did;

because generally when teams find out your thinking about trading a player, they wait you out, till you release him like the Bengals did with rudi johnson

looks like jerry and stephen fooled us on the possible trade thoughts;
Yeah, because as it turns out, it's NOT possible for us to trade someone.

no what i meant by practice squads being filled, several teams did this yesterday

so that is plenty of time for the 24 hour waiver wire to pick up and add players

You don't understand this process do you?

If Dallas wanted a player that was cut yesterday we could claim him on waivers just like the other 31 teams

Its not that hard to understand, Dallas waiting until the deadline has absolutely 0 impact on our ability to sign players who were cut yesterday
