Seeing An Unexpected Silver Lining After Steelers Game

IMO, the guys who start and who play fall into several camps:
  1. They were drafted high
  2. They were acquired in free agency
  3. Jerry has a special place for them in his heart (Zeke is a great example and not Zeke's fault)
I am saying Jerry has a heavy hand in who plays and who sits and this pattern has repeated itself over the decades. And as you said the end result is we have some talented backups who just need some reps to see if they can become great players. The Dallas head coach is more of a figure head and eventually a scapegoat.
100% Coach Jones tells us every week on his radio show who is and isnt gonna play...

I can't get past this mental block when the Steeler's are mentioned: we chose Taco instead of TJ.

Yep, and there’s people that think Belichick is going to sign up to work that way.

If he does you’re getting a neutered version of the guy so what’s the point?

Good to see some of the young guys coming along quickly. Tolbert has been slow to really make much of an impact and after all the hype about how hard he worked with Dak it still took an injury to an older, slower, smaller veteran to get him a decent amount of reps. But he did play ok. Hope him and all the young guys build on their success.
