Why do we have to be 0-5? Here's the deal folks. We just saw exactly how December/January ends...IF we make it to the playoffs and IF we face the niners again. We are NOT beating them with Dak. Therefore we are NOT going to a SB with Dak Prescott. So be done with the 8 year experiment. It's a wrap. Turn it over to Lance or Rush and see if either of them can catch fire. It happens. Ask Romo. If not, you've lost out on nothing. If we don't, we're just going through the motions.
Dak makes too much money to just bench him. Actually if Dak continues to play subpar, it will be easier for the Joneses to move on from him and not extend the contract. I am interested in what the Dak media backers have to say. My boy looked shot last night. Maybe he broke his middle finger because his throws were awful.

I disagree. I think the fact that he's making that kind of money and gets benched is just the message this team needs. If you aren't playing well you're not playing, regardless of pay. Also, his throws were awful before he ran to get some tape.

Then go with Coop. Sticking with Dak any longer is pointless. He ain't the guy man. We already know this.
No problem if they wanna go with Cooper. This offense might suit him better anyway.
One thing is clear though. They need to get our run game going.

Well, if that's going to be the plan, then they need to find someone in FA between now and the Chargers game who can help. I don't think we have the RBs that can do what we need them to do in that way.

So if dak gets injured for 4 weeks is he still not ready to be in the fire
The point of my point is.
COOPER is the back up QB right now. Not Trey.
Why would you skip the backup QB that has played and won with this team for a guy that is clearly not ready for the limelight yet.

I'm not saying that, i'm saying trey would be next if coop were to go in so he'd have to be ready

This IS it fellas. The message has been sent 27 years running. Why in the world would Jerry do anything rash? He's sitting atop the financial end of the sports world. He is fine where he is at, which is mediocrity. These are our Dallas Cowboys. Embrace the milk toast guys. As long as we keep buying the hype, this is the result, which is same as usual.

Well the third becomes the second and only goes in due to injury.
Not because someone hates the Starter and decides to skip the second string QB.

If your third stringer has to become the starter...you might as well be tanking the season.

Right.. I’ve been screaming from these forums for 15 years after walking away from season tickets after 4 decades. Nothing is changing until Jethro is gone.

I’m not sure why this game changes anything. Yea, we had some homers who bought into the hype this season but most of us didn’t expect more nor expected to beat SF.

I understand the disappointment but this reaction is way over played. The only thing I took out of this loss is SF has widened the gap between us. But we are still a playoff team . And Jetho can still sell and hype the hell out of it.

You’ll need to root for losing out and or missing the playoffs to bring about change. But remember the change we thought was coming when Romo or Garrett left. As long as the one constant remains in Jethro Jone$, expect the names to change but the results to remain the same.

Jerry Jones as general manager is part of the problem. Stephen Jones as executive vice-president and director of player personnel is part of the problem. Charlotte and Jerry Jones Jr. would be part of the problem if they were direct contributors for running football operations.

Certain front office executives are part of the problem. Certain coaches are part of the problem. Certain players are part of the problem. All three have been identified and 'fixed' every year, albeit not all at once and never quickly. That said, Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have never been identified and 'fixed'.

A solution can always be found for a football problem. The problem will always exist if every problem is never addressed.

Send a message? Jerry Jones will eventually get around to sending one on his own sweet time. He always has. Sometimes, the eventual message is exactly what some onlookers have wanted or even begged for a long time. Unfortunately, that is not the solution.

A solution will begin to take shape if-and-when Jerry Jones hires or promotes someone as general manager, drops his self-designation of president and gifts himself new titles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. A solution starts if-and-when Stephen Jones adopts the title of president and allow a true general manager to either assume his director of player personnel responsibilities or let that person hire someone qualified to be one.

Essentially? Do what the Robert Kraft family figured out decades ago.

A solution will not be found until those two steps have finally been taken. Until then, keep wanting Jerry Jones to send eventual messages that have not fixed his football problem for nearly thirty years. One day, he will deliver exactly what some people constantly demand from him--even though it is not the entire message he should be sending to himself and everyone else.

Edit: Jerry Jones will eventually deliver a message to the field, the sidelines or both. On the other hand, the only message he will continue sending for the Ring of Honor is his middle finger. And no one must know sign language to understand that particular message, lol.

Jerry is not benching the 160 million dollar man.

In 30-40 years when the heirs to the Jones fortune are running things,
Dallas will eventually win another SB and the Jones family will issue a
statement saying they are proud of their accomplishments and
throughout all the strife from the fans and the media they just glad
they finally won doing things grandpa Jerry's way.

Jerry did send a message before the game: He just hoped we could stay on the field with them. That didn't happen, but it was just a hope.

I mean of all the stupid things to say. If the goal this season was to have a team that could stay on the field with the 49ers--you failed miserably. And you probably won't stay on the field with the Eagles either, you moronic bozo.

Make Trey Lance active next week.
Publicly incinerate Quinn, MM, or Dak in the media.

Do something, anything, just show that you give a crap!
how do you think Lance will work out? just like all the others before him. yeah, you want change, we want change for the better, not the same thing. just trying something different is not the answer.

its not Jerry Sending a message. the Cowboys Nation needs to send Jerry a message. the only message Jerry understands and cares about is MONEY. when you hit him in the pocket, he makes changes. 28+ years of the same thing. we all have seen this very exact story before. different cast of characters. same words. same actions. same results.

Jerry only gives a crap about Money and his franchise value. every single move he makes is about that. he is the best snake oil sales man there ever was, because his fan base buy what he sells everytime.
he will make some changes. fans rejoice, change is coming. he generates hope and we end up same results. there is no wonder, same players go other places and they end up with rings. everyone comes to dallas to make one last pay check.

Oh I'm sure he won't. It's just what should happen, not what will.
I actually think it’s a good thing. The Cowboys will let Dak sink or swim. No more excuses. The schedule is ruthless. The defense won three games. Dak was paid to win in Arizona and stay close to San Francisco.

As long as we spend time online talking about it, nothing changes. There’s no incentive. In Jerry World, any publicity is good publicity.

I used to think Jerry cared about winning as long as it was his way. I don’t even believe this anymore. Football is a hobby, a way to spend his golden years, like lapidary was for my grandad.
