Am I the only one that finds it odd that Tyler doesn't mention Tyron? I understand Peter's is "thisclose" to retirement and perfect mentor material, but is Tyron so busy with rehab he doesn't have time to give a few pointers?

Tyler mentioned both Zack and Tyron early in TC.

He never mentions Philbin.

Didn't Conner Williams also just get beat for the sack that may have ended Tua's night, month or year? One would think that hurts the rating a little bit...
How can anyone blame Connor Williams and say he got beat when it's obvious the whole Oline was meant to move right when blocking due to a fake handoff right and bootleg left? Clearly, any Defender is going to have a clear shot to escape to their right and go after Tua since Tua followed the called bootleg left play called, thus exposing him while putting his Olinemen at a pass blocking disadvantage. It's not fair to blame any of his Olinemen on that designed misdirection pass play. Some folks need to understand football much better before placing blame. The same goes for those IDIOTS at PFF when they rate Olinemen with their blocks.

For the last couple of years many us have contributed the average / below average line play as a direct result of Philbin's coaching and scheme. The line has went through a significant transition from what it use to be.

My question is

Considering the progress of Steele(undrafted), Smith, Biadiaz, and Farniok(7th round), does Philbin finally get to see some love on these boards? Regardless of what actually happens, has he done enough to earn another year from the zone?

Anyone with an ounce of NFL knowledge knows Philbin comes highly respected as an OLine coach . I commented on this board in another thread where were the Philbin critics after the Giants were chewed up and spit out on the ground while keeping Cooper upright against the Giants and a clean pocket .

Along with bringing in Al Harris and an improved secondary and yes Bones Fassel not to mention Quinn and yes Moore staying on board this is a good group of assistants in my humble opinion .

Whoever enforced the team to go to a power blocking scheme despite what Philbin wanted gets my vote. I'm neutral with Philbin. I think he does just enough to warrant a pass.

My biggest gripe regarding Philbin was all the penalties on the line. Starting out this season they picked up where they left off last season. But it looks like the offensive line is settling down some and I hope that will become a continuing trend.

What are you even talking about? Did you watch the play? Williams completely stops blocking as if the play were over and just lets his man go. I would have thought all of that football knowledge in that big brain of yours would have made that obvious to you…

The line isn't the problem. 1 sack the last 2 games. What's changed in the last 2 weeks?
Funny how so many are arguing about this and keep forgetting the effect of the QB getting rid of the ball quickly.

You have a point but the weak link on the OLine were gotten rid of in the off season in Collins & Williams . Steele an UDFA has really impressed me . And Biadaz seems to have come into his own . I’m excited to see Peters and Smith on the same side and to me Farniok makes McGovern an upcoming FA expendable .

Lets look at the Scoreboard.
Anti Philbin.
Anti Noah Brown.
Anti Tyler Smith.
Anti Cooper Rush.
Anti Mike McCarthy.
Anti Cowboy Front office.

It goes on and on. It's still early, but the Cowboys have a shot at making a bunch of people look stupid.
