Building and selling your brand is what is important around here not wasting your time studying film.
I'm offended that people are all too often offended by something that really shouldn't offend them, and probably arent actually offended.Dont forget the direction and sensitivity that society is trending, the direction.
The Commanders having to change their team name,,,
"Cowboys" could become rather offensive to rednecks everywhere in a very short time.
Those days of studying film,, forgotten by most but I bet Bill still burns those candles.Building and selling your brand is what is important around here not wasting your time studying film.
I didn’t think I would watch it but I did. HBO does a great job with these documentary type shows. As I watch it I am struck by one thing in particular. This camp is way too relaxed for a team coming off 6-10. Way, way too relaxed. I truly think this is the not serious about winning football culture coming through.
Anyone else see this or think I am wrong?

You have no clue how Dak is with the players, none whatsoever. What you do know is what you saw from the players when he was laying on the field with his foot pointing in the wrong direction. That was respect due to Daks leadership abilities. You have no clue what leadership is all about and that there are all kinds of ways to be an outstanding leader.Maybe the coaches can't coach the same way, but I 100% agree that players can be the same way.
You just get the vibe from Romo and Dak that they want to be everyone's buddy and always want to say the rights things. Aikman was in the business of winning, not making friends. I love those videos of Aikman on the sidelines fuming mad at Barry Switzer and his happy go lucky attitude about the players not performing well.
I wish Dak could just be half of the leader that Aikman was. Dak has the talent, but he needs to get that meanness to take things to the next level.
I like when my teams leaders produce results and elevates everyone around them to be better. You have no clue how Dak is with the players, none whatsoever. Remember this is entertainment first. It is what it is. This is the NFL and HBO production not the Cowboys.I didn’t think I would watch it but I did. He has never studied film as the GM and admitted that. He pays people to watch film and then tell him what they saw.Building and selling your brand is what is important around here not wasting your time studying film.
How did you think Aikmans leaderships slills were before we won a championship or afterwards?I like when my teams leaders produce results and elevates everyone around them to be better.
Aikman's leadership produced a dynasty. Dak's leadership (so far) has produced nothing.
Aikman in his first 5 years had already led the Cowboys to 2 Super Bowl wins. Dak has led us to 1 Wild Card win.
Dak has yet to show that meanness that Aikman showed.
You can say whatever you want, call me whatever you want, and insult me however you like, I don't really care, but you can't say that there's not a clear difference between Aikman and Dak when it comes to leadership.
From what we’ve witnessed and heard Daks leadership skills isn’t what’s preventing this team from more success. You have no clue how Dak is with the players, none whatsoever. What you do know is what you saw from the players when he was laying on the field with his foot pointing in the wrong direction. That was respect due to Daks leadership abilities. Why shouldn’t they be. They’ve made it to the big show. Fans place far too much importance on winning.I was thinking that same thing. They're happy with the the super plush atmosphere they are in. All the snacks, comforts and lavishness of the Star could be making them soft and content enough just to be a Cowboy.
They are feeding the players Combos during meetings. Let that sink in.....
Good points.I think some of you only see the things you want to see. HBO picks and chooses stories they feel like will be entertaining to feature, plus, I'm sure they're handcuffed to what they can show. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Plus, what do some of you guys want? A concentration camp? Just because they show a player or two having downtime playing cards does not mean they aren't taking their role on the team serious. Let's have a camera follow you around for a week, make an hour video out of it, and then let us kick back and criticize the way we feel you should be living your life.
All QBs aren't built like Aikman when it comes to being a leader of men.How did you think Aikmans leaderships slills were before we won a championship or afterwards?
Everyone suks unless they’re winning championships. Lol
But I’d argue often there are QB’s with tremendous leadership skills on poor teams.
Aikman had tremendous leadership skills . It would appear greater than Daks. But they are probably greater than most QB’s. That shouldn’t be a slam on Dak.
When did Dak tell you this? All QBs aren't built like Aikman when it comes to being a leader of men.
It's not a slam on Dak. I just get the vibe that Dak doesn't want to step on toes or hurt feelings. He wants to be liked by everyone. He hasn't shown that meanness or fire that I would like to see from him.
