I think Murray will be there for 2 or 3 years. With or without Chip.
For some reason, if he is released, I doubt he will be back here. Unless he signs for a low contract and will be a 2nd or 3rd team guy.

We will be drafting a RB next year most likely. Unless one of our Rb's really step up this year, Randle, McFadden or Michael. But still I see drafting a RB next year, for long term future RB.

I think 2 things we need to do next year, high in the draft. Of course depending on other circumstances. A QB & a RB.

You know, I am branded an Eagles fan. I hate them but you guys need to be realistic. Yes, they are 0-2 and look bad. We are 2-0 and down to Weeden. There is so much of this season left. Let's see how the teams are in about 6 more weeks and we have a better idea how this might play out.

No, you are supposed to be realistic while we all jump on the Sheagles/Gnats/Deadskins suck bandwagon, reveling in their early failures and our success against tremendous adversity. Cinderella story, comin outta nowhere........

You're right, of course -- there's a lot of football yet to be played, and it's a bit early to start polishing the crown.

It's just so much fun to revel in Chip's and Demarco's misery, and it somewhat dulls the pain of our injuries.

Overpaying Murray. Trading Foles for the always injured Bradford, Trading McCoy for the always and currently injured Alonso. Trading one of their best corners for nothing, overpaying Maxwell. Then to top it off, Tebow.

So answer the other question. What other player in the same class of player that Murray is has been cut so early by his team that they absorbed a massive cap hit?

It's not happening.

And LOL at those who say he's not welcomed back.

He took more money to play in Philly. I might understand blackballing him if he took less money to play for a divisional rival, but he chased the money. And I bet most now saying he is not welcome would do the same thing.......... chase the money.

The Saints paid (are still paying?) Junior Galette something like $18M for even less production than the Eagles got so far from Murray. Even thought the Saints were on the hook for Galette to the tune of beaucoup bucks, they canned him. Granted, he had some off-the-field issues that were factored in. So, teams can and do absorb exhorbitant cap hits to dump players.

Not saying this is what the Eagles will do but it is possible. Murray can be one and done in Philly. He might stay the second year. Chip Kelly can be fired next year and a new coach comes in and uses the RBs more to Murray's style. Chip Kelly can turn it around from now and use Murray differently with better success. Who knows? Stay tuned.

Why would we want him back?

He has proven that without this line he is mediocre (at best).

Draft a young guy with some upside and let him become a star behind this line.

That Galette deal is nothing like the Murray situation. They took the hit because of his off the field issues. That's an entirely different situation.

There is no chance in hell the Eagles cut Murray. None.

I agree with this. It's way too early to say they truly stink. If that's the case then Seattle, Colts, Balty, Detroit all stink as well and we know that isn't true.

Pretty sure the team wants to continue to go young and cheap at the RB position. It's usually the right way to manage your cap and roster.

I really think Murray is out of philly after this year.

Question: how much guaranteed money will he walk away with?

I could see him back in Dallas.

Would the guarantee money for eagles and new contract for Dallas get him close to his mega deal if he stayed with eagles?

don't think they'd cut him and don't think he's worth what they paid him. But Murray isn't the problem, it's how they're is using him and their poor OL

wheeeee-yooooooo...wheeeee-yooooooo...wheeeee-yooooooo!!!! (Grammar police approaching)

"Series question" is an oxymoron as series is a group or a number of related or similar things, i.e. series of questions.

But I think you meant "serious," which you probably did but couldn't edit the title.

No citations needed. We grammar cops have to make use of our training. :D ;)

Barring injury u believe he's an Eagle for at least two more years. There's still time for him to turn it around.

Even so, he is not coming back to Dallas, the fans boo him, the players pick fights with him and the coaches/GM chose Dez over him. Even Romo has said they haven't talked much.

Murray will be there two years minimum. Too costly to cut him after this year.

I think there is a good chance Murray outlasts Kelly in Philly green

Dallas has moved forward. Hopefully next year they draft a legit RB.
