With the sudden emergence of our former "bust" cornerback, it's only fair to take notice and credit our Cowboys for their past seven 1st-round picks.

Dez Bryant
Mo Claiborne
Tyron Smith
Travis Frederick
Zack Martin
Byron Jones
Zeke Elliott

That's pretty, pretty, pretty good.

I wanted Zeke over Ramsey. But let's not be foolish enough to think that five games decides which one is the better player.
That evaluation won't come until years down the road.

I think that was a Mo reference and not a Ramsey reference. Or are you just mentioning Ramsey as an alternative to Zeke? Last I heard, Ramsey was impressive early in JAX, too.

Last I heard WR 37 yr old Steve Smith chewed up Ramsey.
Both Ramsey and Jack haven't done much so far, from what I have heard.

And by the end this season some folks will finally stop lamenting the Zeke pick vs Ramsey

I still think both players will be good to great players. Its just that Zeke will get 20 or 30 times per game to show his worth while Ramsey may only get a few times to do so.

Looks like Bosa had a good game with 2 sacks last game so the people who wanted him in the draft may be proven correct over time even though he wasn't available to us.

Zeke has been awesome.

But unlike the projections of many of you saying Ramey would be a bust at CB, he's actually been very good for a rookie CB.

Post #3 in the thread references the Ramsey versus Elliott comment. I think that's who he is responding to.

I was referring to the post directly above my first one.

I don't think people (I.e. Myself) said that Ramsey was a terrible player, just that Zeke was a better pick because he affects games much more than Ramsey ever could. You are talking 20-25 touches per game whereas Ramsey maybe affects 10-15 plays tops. Zekes effect to hide a susceptible defense is profound for us. The only knock I ever threw at Ramsey was that he didn't produce the INTs that I would expect for a DB so highly touted, which has been my criticism of the Ramsey clone we already have at FS. Clearly Ramsey is an elite athlete and may very well end up a great player, but I think we made the right pick.
Not sure why liking one player over another (Zeke vs Ramsey and Dak vs Romo) automatically means that a poster thinks the other player is terrible or has some hidden agenda.

Mo staying healthy has really helped turn his career around. It was the missed games and practices from an assortment of injuries that help stunt his development. Practicing and being able to stay on the field has improved his play. He's still not the great player we hoped for but he's become a solid player.
