Hard to believe, but gonna be tough to suck more than the Titans, Browns or the Niners........but need to give it the good old Tampa Bay circa '76 try. Race to the bottom begins now.

BTW, two of those teams also need QBs.

Before someone says "Championship" I think we should change it to "1st pick in the draft" for the rest of the year.

After Carolina, I was solidly in the camp of "lets lose enough to get a top pick and get one of the top 2 QB's" (whoever we decide they are)

But after hearing Jerry's comments on Romo not going anywhere (and most likely Garrett while he's here), I think I'm switching to "let's be realistic based on what this team will actually do". I'm sure there are plenty of compelling cases for getting a new coach, QB, etc but they just aren't what's on the table here.

Given that, I think we need a non #1 pick. Maybe in range of 3-8. That way we don't depress everyone (fans and players) with a 3-13 season, we get a look at the rooks the rest of the year, and possibly get an impact player on defense at in the top 10 (or two if someone wants the #2 QB option and we get another prime pick to trade down a few spots.)

I don't think a #1 pick is in the Cowboys best interest given the ACTUAL way this team is planning for the next few years.

To make this post more relevant to the thread, absolutely that includes seeing Chaz and maybe even Moore towards the last few games.

#1 pick could mean picking up an extra 1st round pick next year in a trade.

When is a #1 EVER not a good thing? I am trying to understand what you're saying but it makes no sense to me.

Just because this team isn't really a 3-13 club when healthy, doesn't mean they couldn't benefit tremendously from a very high draft pick.

Edit: are you simply advocating a trade down? Because it reads kind of confusing.

No clue why they wouldn't want to keep Efe around to develop. Dudes with his size/speed ratio don't grow on trees. And I thought he played well in the preseason given his lack of experience

Chaz Green needs to be the starting RT either this week or next week. Free has been awful and needs to go. Time to see if the replacement is on the roster already.

I'd work him in slowly like they did Collins. I really hope they don't feel some type of veteran loyalty to free, we need to see what we have in green.

I'd like to see him get some playing time this season for sure.
