Well... we have to remember in 2016 Zeke ran the ball 322 times.
Last 2 seasons he ran it under 250 times.
The last time he ran it over 300 times was in 2019 at 301 attempts, for 1,357 yards.
If he ran it 322 times this past season he would have been in second place.
When you think about it...Between Pollard and Zeke there was 1,721 yards.
But Pollard has out performed Zeke statistically.
Zeke messed up though... Zeke was basically looking for contact his first couple years.
The Barbarian did the same thing... You just can't run like that.
Adrian Peterson, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Dickerson.... Those guys didn't run like that.
So they didn't decline like this... While those guys played in their prime when teams got away with
way more brutal hits.
Zeke though had a bum wheel most of last season. So he looks like he is in great shape this year.
Maybe he can get back into form, if the line can make any semblance of a hole.
With the way Pollard can shift gears, I would love to see him play in the slot a lot... Much like they utilized
Dunbar when he was healthy.
