Deion has been critical of Romo just like many other fans and experts and his criticisms of Romo have been right on par with most. He's never said anything about Romo that hasn't been said by many others. I'm not a Deion fan just want to point that out before WPB comes in spinning that Deion is my boy. :laugh2: As a matter of fact I can't stand Deion and have posts on the board stating it but he made the comment about Grossman after the Commanders 2-0 start in 2011.
Grossman got off to a great start that season and probably was the best QB in the NFC East AFTER the first 2 weeks. Grossman passed for 305 yards on opining day vs the Giants and tossed 2 TD's and had a passer rating of 110.5 in route to a 28-14 victory over NY. In week 2 Grossman passed for 291 yards and 2 TD's in a victory over AZ. He played pretty good the following week vs the Cowboys in a tight 18-16 loss but his game fell apart after that.
Like a lot of people Deion was living in the moment with Grossman's play after the first 2 weeks and should have waited at least another couple of weeks before gloating over him. Most of us knew Grossman would come back to earth but there's not a former NFL player, coach or GM working as a football analyst that hasn't proclaimed something that didn't end up making them look stupid at some point. They're all human and sometimes they like fans get caught up in the moment.
