Wow.

First let me say I am your biggest fan, I know you hear that alot, but I really am yours, babe'sand kristie scales biggest fan.

I feel terrible now, like I did something to put you or bartel in a bad spot. I really truly am sorry. It was never meant to cast you or richard in a bad light. I bascially just posted what you said assuming people would realize the humor in most of it, like the putting on the burgundy comment and understanding the frustration that comes with being on a losing team.

I pretty much post every meaningful thing yourself, brad and kristie say on the broadcast because I hold the 3 of you as the highest authority on the team and I respect and enjoy your work more than anyone else.

Again, I feel terrible. My heart has sunk to the floor reading your comments.

I would gladly apologize to you in person. I am a season ticket holder and I am at every game.

Sorry for causing you or richard bartel any hassle.

Sincerely,

Your broken hearted biggest fan
Todd
Now that's a classy post as well.

Mr. Sham, please post more often if possible. You, sir, are the voice of the Dallas Cowboys. Allow this portion of cowboyszone to hear from you more often. It is indeed an honor. And thanks for the clarification.

Wow. This absolutely made my day.

Brad Sham coming to the Zone to post anything, especially something this classy, is a treat to me. I love listening to this guy call Cowboys football games.

I hope you return Mr. Sham. It would be our honor to have you around here when you've got the time. You're one of the best in the business. I love your work. Keep it up.

Sham is the king...the best in the business! I've listened to play by play guys for the other teams, and they are no where near Sham's class.

The Eagles play by play guy, who I've had to listen to once in the past, sounds like he has an eggplant stuffed up his backside, and just listening to him is painful.

Agreed , excellent post and you can tell this man is sincere.

I re-read the post and I think this is Brad Sham and that is an incredible move on his part, not only because it's classy - but because media people do not and have not acknowledged the "Message Board " craze. Well, Brad just let us know that people pay attention to what the fans feel and want.

Don't be so hard on yourself, theebs. Your contributions to the board are very much valued by many here.

It's pretty clear that it was just a misunderstanding, and that no one intended any malice... least of all you, Mr. Sham, or Richard Bartel.

Really, I think most of the blame lies with Dan Snyder. ;)

What? JFE and Jean-Jacques Taylor seemingly visit this forum all the time. This is where they get ideas for their next article. The parallels between what they write, and what the fans say in this forum immediately before would amaze you.

:laugh2: I was nearly suicidal after listening to him for 5 minutes.

When he goes, "It's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!," it literally takes years off my life. :laugh2:

Mr. Sham I think you are the greatest play by play guy in the football business. You are truly a well respected man. I remember once when Fox was still learning the ropes and the Cowboys were fixing to play the Panthers. Video was a go but the audio had failed. I think I had more fun listening to your radio broadcast along with the Fox video. We've even purposely done that before just to catch your broadcast and not listen to the droning guys on TV. Thank you for all your contributions sir. All the best to you and yours for a terrific New Year.

Yes but it's not mainstream , writers and media types cast message boarders off as angry fans etc ..many do not give it the validity it deserves.

In many ways, message boards are the new talk radio. We live in a world of instant news, I can recall waiting for days to hear about an injured player or details of a trade now? that news is leaked to a board with in an hour.

You only have to listen to a few minutes of another team's play-by-play man to appreciate how good Mr. Sham really is, and I'm not trying to disparage the work of others in any way, but he is truly the master of his craft. I was devestated when he left for a few years during the 90s. In fact, he did not call our last Super Bowl and that makes me sick.

I was priviliged to shake Mr. Sham hand one time at training camp......did not wash that hand for a long time ;-)

Mr. Sham, keep posting insight to our Cowboys!

Mr. Sham I would like to join the others in saying welcome to the CowboysZone. It is a huge honor to count you as a member of this site.

You are the best in the business and I also truly apreciate your work as a broadcaster.

Please feel free to chime in your thoughts when you have the opportunity too as we would love to hear your perspective and opinions on Cowboy matters.

I got a chance to meet him at Irvin induction into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame on the Baylor Campus. He was kind enough to autograph a football for me. I really enjoy listening to him on the radio broadcast

Very cool. I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Sham in Chicago 2 years back when the Cowboys played there and he was gracious enough to take a photo with me and discuss the Cowboys.

A class act all the way and the very best at what he does.

Hey, Mr. Sham... remember when you made that call in the Chiefs game when Miles Austin scored in overtime?

That... was... AWESOME!
Nice SNL reference.

Honestly, though, Brad Sham is awesome. Not much else to say.

wow - you mean there are journalists who will make an extra effort to set the record straight???

major props just for that alone and my respect meter just got pegged.

I just listened to the audio in question and Theebs paraphrased it verbatim. Mr. Sham's comments might have been mis-interpreted by others after the post "out of context." But Theebs did not make a mistake at all. He posted what Brad said.
